It's good to see junior players stepping up in the senior side of the game. 5 of Katunga's best 6 in this game are under the age of 21. Good signs for the future i reckon.
I heard that both the Meyland boys were on the move to Numurkah. The figure i heard was 700 a game. Don't know weather that was for both or just herby, and i don't think herby is the type of guy to demand anything from anyone. Personally i think, if it's true, he would of just accepted an offer...
Re: CHANGES TO CURRENT PDFL ( merged ) NEW COMP / MFL/PDFL 3 Division System Threads
I think that the only way to split the league is to have the most successful teams from the last 5-10 years in div 1 as Pace suggested. but instaed of basing the promotion/relegation system on how successful a...
Re: Murray Football League - Part 2
You could look at basing the promotion/relegation on the club champion points instead of the success of the football only, but instead of doing the netball and football points seperately have them combined so that judging the strength of a club as whole...
Re: CHANGES TO CURRENT PDFL ( merged ) NEW COMP / MFL/PDFL 3 Division System Threads
I was talking to one of our clubs senior officials and he was telling me that the murray league and picola league have been in contact regarding a merger between the two leagues with a 3 teir split of the comp...
I have heard talk coming from the league meeting that Rennie are a very very good chance of being accepted into the PDFL for the 2009 season. The majority vote is for it.
Also there is talk that the league will not look at splitting until there are 18 teams in the comp.
Re: Murray Football League - Part 2
I have heard that ex-Numurkah coach Chris O'Dwyer will be leaving Katunga to go back to Numurkah to coach next year. Does anyone know if this is truth or just rumour.
I have been hearing some talk around that Katunga coach Chris O'Dwyer will be leaving the swans to go back to Numurkah and coach them in the 2009 season. They are also rumoured to be losing 5-6 of there best players next year. Is there anybody who can confirm or deny this
What a joke. The league is in charge of organising the security and they did not once that i saw check any vehicle for alcohol. Even when people had eskies sitting on the back of utes they didn't check. And to blame strathy for the way Drunken people acted when the police wouldn't allow them to...
Re: Murray Football League - Part 2
Speaking of brawls, i hope that the MFL has had a look at what happened last week in the PDFL and is going to have a proper security presence at the game to try to stop the brawls at the games not to mention the smuggling of booze into the ground and to...
Rennie have put forward a letter to the league and all clubs announcing there interest in joining our comp. I think they are waiting until the next league meeting to put forward their presentation on why they should be allowed to come into our league.
I have been hearing rumours around the traps that Katunga coach Chris O'Dwyer will not be continuing with the swans next year. Is there any truth to this and has anyone else heard it.
Re: Murray Football League - Part 2
Just a question for any Numurkah people on here or to anyone who might know.
Is there any truth to the rumour that Liam Gledhill will be coaching Picola in the PDFL next year.
If Deni got through last week injury free i think that they will get up in a close one. They must contain Bode if the Kats are to win. Was best on last week by a long way. Deni in a close one.
If Katunga can get a start like they did on sunday against Shepp East they will be hard to beat...
Finals already, who'd have thought it would come around this quickly.
My tips,
Waaia V Dookie. Who ever wins this game will play Tungamah in the Grand final. On the big Barooga ground Waaia, if at full strength, should have a little bit too much run and should win a close one. Waaia by a goal...
From what i've seen this season Big Bro Tungamah are by far the best team. Waaia will match them for run but not size, and Dookie will match them for size but don't have as many runners. Those three teams are ahead of the rest of the comp by a fair margin and i can't see any underdogs coming...
My tips for this week guys.
Berrigan over Picola by 5 goals
Jerilderie over Blighty by 8 goals
Strathy over Yarroweyah by 15 goals
Deni over Katty by 2 goals
Katandra over the U by 25 goals
Tungamah over the Eagles by 15 Goals
Waaia over Dookie by 6 goals
Katunga over Mathoura by 20 goals
My tips for this weekend guys,
Katunga over berrigan by 10 goals
Blighty over Yarroweyah by 10 or more goals
Jerilderie over Picola 8 goals
Strathy over Deni in a close one
Katandra only just over Katty, don't be surprised if it goes the other way
Tungamah over The U by lots and lots
Dookie to...
Did Katunga finish the day with more points for than against.
Did they end up with a higher percentage than they had at the start of the day.
It doesn't matter how much you could have stacked the teams, the point is you guys got percentage for a game that should have never happened, Which could...
He turned 23 this year. I think that his mid-field will make sure he gets the 12 this week as it might be a bit hard next week against Dookie to get the Ton. I think he could hold down a possy in the GV quiet easily.
Does anyone else here think that Greg Meyland will kick his hundred this week agaist Mathoura. Only twelve majors to go and they play at home which should give some added inspiration. Good luck Herby:thumbsu:
