Hmmm, so you are saying all of the umpires are conspiring against Hawthorn (with no motive yet suggested) by paying free kicks against Franklin.
I'm sick of this freaking whinging non-stop. The umpires umpire the game, thats what they are there to do. They don't favour/target teams, it only...
If this is on how they are playing right now, incredibly wrong, but if its about potential, I think first three about right. Hawkins hasn't really shown much to convince me, Gumbleton has played three games so no idea there, Hansen & Thorp ditto, Grigg isn't fantastic. Really hard to tell yet...
Buckley is actually better on radio than TV for some reason, but he is still streets ahead of the other rubbish Schwarz, Lane, Walls, Watson and Voss serve up
From what I've heard on the Demons forum probably won't get a game in the seniors til late in the season (though likely to play for the 2s this week), coming off long-term injury list as a first-year so certainly won't be rushed. But is in the DEF category so may be worth a downgrade for the 8th...
I think you'd be wise to heed the words yourself. Unless you are privy to Chris Judd and Carlton's financial arrangements, which I doubt anyone but Chris Judd and upper echelons of Carlton's board are, you do not know exactly whats going on either.
5. Barry Hall (Syd)
4. Matthew Bate (Melb)
3. Brett Kirk (Syd)
2. Martin Mattner (Syd)
1. Brad Green (Melb)
Sydney did win by a fair margin in the end, but with an all round effort. Hall and Kirk were the standouts, Hall with 10 scoring shots. Bate was very strong, had him just over Kirk (by...
Hopefully, but Melbourne are well short on tall forwards so at the moment are scraping the barrel for options, Paul Johnson and Jamar will rotate as the tall in the forward line, White taking most of the ruck. If Melbourne are smart, they'll rest White in the forward line more than the other two.
I still find it strange that Melbourne can have a record membership total, much like most other Vic clubs, yet still be in such dire financial positions. I guess its more about being a clever business rather than a footy club.
Great to see Melbourne fans getting on board, I mean why not they...
I like the names suggested, seem about perfect. Western Sydney Wolves and Gold Coast Sharks. The names roll off the tongue and just fit. Tasmania Tigers is another obvious choice. I get the feeling one or two of the Vic clubs will fold eventually anyway (not that I ever want to see it happen, I...
would take a lot of luck too, i remember last year i had brett montgomery get -1 in the first match of the season. not sure if there have been many other negative scores before (other than McGregor).
mmm I agree Bulldogs definitely making a run for the bottom 4. bookmark this it will certainly happen.
oh wait, nobody gives a crap. this kind of rubbish is spouted out 1 million times a day on bigfooty and you choose to highlight one post. no one cares
Re: Dale Thomas
I think its pretty damn clear he is the next Didak for Collingwood, not a bad thing, Didak is in AA form, but needed a few years to get to that consistency. Thomas will be no different.
You and everyone. The AFL websites are a joke. The club ones can only be accessed from Internet Explorer now, Firefox doesn't work whatsoever. Both browsers load the AFL website incredibly slowly as well.
Same scoring system, same amount of players, only change would be a smaller salary cap. Teams are too similar, should really only be able to have three or four outright guns in a team (along the lines of regular AFL teams). Would make for much more variety
