    Foxsports and sydney swans

umm maybe the swans buy advertising on Fox Sports?! However I think providing advertising space is tied into the networks broadcast contracts with the AFL so I wouldnt be surprised if the AFL choose to use this to push Swans games

Roos to coach new Western Sydney franchise

I thought Roosy might be the first coach - what an amazing PR coup for the club and AFL in Sydney however reading his comments about spending time with his family etc I really cant imagine him doing daily trips from the eastern suburbs to blacktown!

The Rivalry Begins: West Sydney "brand campaign" launch at Sydney V Geelong Game

It was the campaign logo not the logo of the actual club (sort of the same as the launch of GC17 not the Gold Coast Football Club launch which came later, and gave us the gay surf lifesaver and no nickname!) Check out the logo at...

The Rivalry Begins: West Sydney "brand campaign" launch at Sydney V Geelong Game

At St Andrews years back when the Swans made the 96 GF we petitioned the HM and sports dept and got to play a few games against schools like Marist Nth Sydney and then Riverview who massacred us. Pity there was nothing formal back then wouldve loved to have played AR on a Saturday for school

Expansion WS: SCG home & blockbusters @ Homebush

I think this would be the perfect option. 6-8 games at the showground and blockbusters at ANZ Stadium. If the AFL were allowed to upgrade capacity to around 25,000 (new stands?) it would be awesome.

Expansion GC17 and WSYD - no viability

I think a second AFL team in western Sydney will work. When you think about it the AFL has never properly approached establishing an AFL side in Sydney in the same way they approached SA, WA and Qld markets. In 1982 when South Melbourne moved to Sydney it was their last chance to survive...

TAS Tas TV ratings vs Sydney TV ratings

I think there are three important points here. The new teams are largely designed to give the AFL new negotiation points for the next TV Broadcasting agreement (I believe Andrew Demetriou has incentives built into his contract for increasing the TV contract amount). 1) Tasmanian TV is...
