Possibly the worst count in memory, the way the umpires are voting has significantly changed over the years.
Might be time to actually hand them stats after the game to at least somewhat quantify their initial thoughts.
If you look back at the 2003 count for instance, we had three players...
Not sure why everyone is holding their cards, surely all bets are on by now. Here’s my top 10:
34 Cripps
33 Daicos
29 Heeney
27 Neale
24 Serong, Merrett, Bont
23 Gulden, Green
21 Anderson, Treloar

Weights are out, just the 50kg for Saint George (still needs to pass first elimination clause)
Warmonger with 53.5 also looks handy
I’m finding there’s little to no value compared to previous years, normally these markets are great to hit a few outliers.
I only have Cripps clearing out of the five.
A chance yes, but only worth a small wager.
A disastrous Grand Final week ends in tears losing my Cash League and Home league. I only have my self to blame with some poor decisions in what has otherwise been a great year.
Last trade Houston to Wilkie 🤮 (over Roberts and Wanganeen-Milera) ❌
Rayner covered for Heeney but never again will...
5/5 wins including my cashy and BF Div 6!
Rayner in was really stinky, but Xerri did what he needed to do.
One trade left which will likely be Houston to a POD back, unless Humphries can repeat this weekend’s efforts.
Thoughts kentlemen? Looking to give myself the best chance of winning league finals.
A Humph > Rook
Grundy > Marshall or Xerri
Hold Sheezel and trade later if needed to win.
B Grundy > Marshall
Sheezel > Rankine type forward. Leaves me one trade for next week.
C loop hole Grundy and Jackson...
Who scores more over the last two rounds Xerri or Marshall? Both have juicy match ups.
I’m contemplating whether to trade Grundy straight up for loop him Friday night and see how he goes, if it’s a poor score I can go Sheezel > Xerri late in the round.
If that’s the metric you want to use then that’s fine but it changes when you get to 3 round average. I’m an owner of both and Grundy has just looked battered over the last few weeks, he got slaughtered by Cameron last week.
Moore has two games where he could go absolutely bonkers
First poor week in a while sees me drop back a few spots. A disappointing end to the Big Footy Cup campaign.
Focus now shifts towards Prelim Final week and to make to make the most of the three trades - looking at you Grundy, Jackson and Walsh.
Plenty too much for me mate, all out for 2440.
Stewart, Grundy, Neale, Gulden, Walsh, Jackson and Caldwell to thank and didn’t have any of the large scoring Xerri, Ryan, Merrett etc.
Big Congrats No eye deer and thanks to all for a great comp.
