Petracca being close to death and Clarry Oliver doing more lane work in the pub bathrooms than in pre-season, with not much depth got nothing to do with the poor midfield?
Honestly, the next coach needs to be a man-manager as much as a tactician. McQualter builds great relationships, from all...
Reading too much negativity here on our board about Ginbey. Kid can play. Let him develop. Even if he’s not the midfielder we want.

I’m shaking hands with TB, thanking him for his service and taking the high draft picks. This draft is deep and could be crucial in our rebuild. Stock up this year and bring in our F/S & NGA types next year.

As an Eagles fan who sits in the stands of the Gabba to watch the Lions every odd week, you don’t want another McKenna. Butchers the ball in the corridor and is a poor defender.
Irishman are not going to be our saving grace here… if anything, a cherry on top.

I’m for Buckley.
Experienced coach. Didn’t really do much wrong at Collingwood and was a Dom Sheed trick shot away from potentially taking them to a flag.

We need to go hard at this draft and bank on getting a couple of free agents through the door on front-ended contracts to get the rebuild off the ground.
If we can unload Jones, LEdwards, Trew, Rotham etc. and bring in 3-4 picks within the top 25 - mostly mids, we’ll be better off long-term and...
Knights’ lines have never been strong here. Came from Geelong, full of veterans, who could coach themselves.
Don’t rate him at all.

If he’d had a shave like Simmo asked, his moustache might not have blinded him from the Lions player with the ball running past.

Agreed. Although he’s not a great hitout guy. More of a hard worker around the ground. We needed plenty more of that today.

If anything, we’re surely at a stage where the players need to know that their performances matter. If Simmo can’t get them up and about, then they need to see the club be ruthless. Make them work for their pay checks.
I was in the save Simmo camp. Now firmly believe we need new eyes over it...
Surely Simmo can see the game has gone past Sheed?
His U-Turning and lack of defensive efforts are due to his lack of speed. Got away with it in an era where we played possession ball, but now the game is about forward handball and breaking lines.
As a team, when you’re getting walloped...

Jack Williams continues to grow. Going to be solid key position player for a number of years.
Ginbey continues to influence the game.
Hough had with another decent blanket job on Stringer.
Waterman is phenomenal.
Kelly dragged us into the contest with Yeo injured and Reid struggling...
If you’d told me we’d lose by 6 goals to GC but show a bit of fight at the beginning of the year, I’d have taken it.
Strange how the two wins changes your perspective.

A few list management ideas to take out of tonight’s match.
Robertson injured, but still on the outer when he was healthy. Not sure he made the right call - would need Fagan to go before he gets an opportunity.
Tunstill sub again, lacking opportunity despite the Lions midfield lacking speed or...
