In previous years we probably got over-excited on here, can happen when you have some reason to get excited I suppose. This year however, like I said previously, it's more people outside our club pumping us up (maybe so we will fall, not sure I'm not a psychologist) or people just taking the piss.

Good game of local footy between Hoppers and Altona, good solid contest, really enjoyed the game. Between the two teams had heaps of kids running around which was good to see with our boys lifting to take the game after being down at 3q time. Interesting to see the draw between Colts and Albion.

The WRFL should pick the strongest side available, simple as that. Kids like Healy who are playing 1's should get a look at, it's laughable they don't.

Altona weren't very good yesterday but still only went down by 4 odd goals, Albion are pretty tough to knock off on their own turf and number 12 had a day out with 11 goals. Top 5 is still up for grabs.

Altona beat Heights by 10 odd goals at their ground and that game at Altona where they won was about the luckiest win I've seen in the past few years to be honest.

To be perfectly fair, we did not bring it up nor have we really been banging them up. Someone from outside our club mentioned we seem to be losing our a lot of kids and it was pointed out that this isn't the case and that many are simply playing VFL etc. That is all that was said.

Belly is capable of playing at a decent level in the 1's (Div. 1), not sure why he would want to play at a lower level of football (no offense to Laverton or Div. 2).

Yeah fair call and I agree. You just can't expect the big guys to be able to turn into superstars overnight though, they do need longer than others to play consistent top level footy. Laycock needs to go now by the way lol, he has had ample time.

The big fellas do usually get quite a bit of time to develop, Laycock at Essendon and even Hille come to mind. The big fellas 6 foot 5 and over usually do need that time as well.

Two blokes got sent off, first one was Massis and the second probably Davies. Wasn't a great game of footy (compared to last years) and the conditions weren't great. Spotty were the better side on the day.
