    List Mgmt. 2024 Trade Thread - No.2

From what I have been told from an ITK at the Hawks not necessary gospel but he usually knows some thing, Battles contract is front ended so they have money for their younger players in a couple of years which apparently help us when working out compensation, there was never an upped offer from...

Game Day Always beat the Paperbaggers, no matter the cost

Wins builds confidence and growth and we would have got a lot of that out of last weeks game, but now is the time to be pragmatic. Even if this isn't Battles last game the best thing for us going forward is the lower ladder position and better draft hand. We don't know if pick 5,6,7,8 or 88 will...

This is the start of the news.com.au article about Sam, A “respected” sports reporter known for his impressive contribution to AFL commentary has been identified as the pedestrian killed when he was struck by a truck in Melbourne. Does the quotation marks around respected come across to anyone...

Opinion The Shield and Ribbon: Updating the Sacred

"After considerable consultation with members and stakeholders we are in the final stages of a refresh to our logo," Has anyone actually been consulted about this? I knew nothing about this until the article, are there super secret special member tiers that I don't know about?

    Autopsy Round 14, 2024: Brisbane v St.Kilda

I thought Dow has been build nicely, tonight he wasn't helped with the early ankle knock and with only 63% game time he did his job with the centre clearances and his pressure acts are underrated. When he get a full run at it I'm pretty confident he will be a positive influence for our midfield...

The kid also had 9 clearances 18 contested possessions with a de% of 78, He is exactly the type of player we need. The next iteration of players seems to be moving from who will be the next Bont or Cripps to who is the next Butters or Serong. I like Draper very much a Mr Consistent type...

    Autopsy Round 13, 2024: St.Kilda v Gold Coast: #GrabGate2024

Oh Boo-Hoo people upset that we won, skills can be worked on but so happy the passion and the pressure was there. King competed but Mac Andrew is a star, Uwland and Collins played great games wasn't helped with Membrey doing nothing which hindered our f50 entries. Liked Caminiti effort, Wind has...

Can we stop with the 'shipping him off' or 'moving him on' talk if Battle leaves we aren't actively trying to get rid of him. Under normal circumstances Josh has a decent offer in front of him, It just so happens that as he enters his ufa when there are several clubs desperate for his services...

On Battle, lasting eight years at St Kilda is impress first of all but I think its fair for him to entertain offers and even leave whatever the offer from the rival club is. Our lack of success will always be factor and you can understand a player wanting to leave to chase a premiership. St...

With not having much to offer other than cash to prospective players would adding the captaincy be enticing to someone like Warner, McCluggage or LDU? Is it worth a go for an untested leader? Right now our performance history and club status pins one arm behind our back so why not.

Be interested to see when George Stevens goes, the pure bull extractor mid seems to be on the way out. You need more then one bow in your arsenal, was impressive in the his two vfl games though.

No idea what to make of Tholstrup he is very much see ball get ball type of player could see him being like Luke Ball, needing the elastoplast on standby each week. Big fan of Charlie Edwards think he fits our team dynamic perfectly; stood up after not playing for Metro so didn't drop his head...

Is Sydney's academy like others that they can't match a bid before forty or have they been given special treatment like gold coast and co because Caiden Cleary looks a decent prospect.

A kid to keep an eye on for our second pick is Arie Schoenmaker had his issues with a club suspension this year back came back and showed real maturity. Has a leg on him and uses it bloody well. Some may have a issue with him being a Def but there is a real talent there under the right guidance.

If Membrey was to get himself right do we see him as an automatic inclusion? If so then why not Lobb instead. Big fan of Hayes hope he get a full season under him might be able to pinch hit it the ruck, Moose might be ready to go getting closer and Keeler is still so raw probably need another...

What is the likelihood of Croft not nominating Doggies? Think it would be best for his career if he didn't, that has to be the most stacked key forward group in the comp. Given how he has played this year with such a light frame the kid has decent potential.

As this is the Gresham page rather then the Shiel page forgive me for having little knowledge of anything to do with him other that he is being used to manufacture this proposed trade. If we are actually interested in him and that 800k is right we must believe he is able to get his body right...

I don't see that as a win win at all for us, instead we could just get the end of round 1 comp pick 19/20ish for Gresh and if we actually really want Shiel offer our pick 51 and just pay all the first year salary and not help out a rival club. If your wanting to get that first round pick Gresh's...

Ok so based on this your saying we get two seconds round picks say 27 this year and lets say 28 next year along with Shiel, points wise that 1380 and Ess get Gresh and pick 14 which is 1161 which makes sense and I guess we could package that up to try and get back in to the first round again.

Free Agency Jade Gresham [Joins Essendon as RFA]

Help me with this one, Ess fans say they are fine when it comes to the salary cap and we have the De goey war chest left over so we don't need the help. If Gresh leaves and its band 2 that is still to high of a pick for what Shiel is worth, the market shows that Brodie Grundy being pick 27 and...

Any player whether they be pick 1 or the last rookie selection ability to fulfil their potential is help by how well they fit at a club that's not to say that when it doesn't work out the clubs organisation is bad it just wasn't the right for them. Some players will of course be stars no matter...
