Gotta be Boris, he has had an unbelievable year, he was consistent every game, even the ones that we lost and also he was the gel in the backline, without him and Scarlo our backline would of fallen apart
Thats why i said Almost Unstoppable, the Hawks will be up there in 2010 along with the Cats of course, we will lose Harley but get Hunt back, Saints and also the Dogs.
Those 4 teams in the preliminary finals will be Awesome.
ahhh actually spartanwa who made that comment is an Essendon fan.
Good win by the Cats, Saints unless injuries occur will be almost unstoppable next year especially if they get rid of milne
Has to be Lingy, he is the mayor of Geelong after all, Chappy would be a good choice, after all he did come out and say that they were mentally weak after the Roos game in rd 5 2007.
Ling for few years and then Selwood to take over
haha Thanks, it does get frustrating hearing your own supporters think that our team deserved to win it last year, well if they deserved to win it, they would of won it ey but nope they didnt, feel sorry for yaself for a few days then get over it.
Its not the best team in the home and away that...
See, its these types of Cats supporters that give us a bad name
2008 Grand Final, Get Over it, The hawks didn't just beat us, they smashed us, they played the better footy on the day and won. Nothing more to be said.
I wonder how many of our supporters actually went back and watched the game...
Harry Taylor has played on Nick Riewoldt 3 times in his career, in the 2008 QF, Taylor smashed him, RD 14 this year you would give the points to Nick who had 11 marks and 3 goals. But in the GF points once again to Taylor, he is probably one of the best match ups in the comp against Riewoldt. He...
You say that now, there is always a chance that we wont make it next year, I'll admit that injuries screwed the hawks up at the start of the year, and from then on couldn't get there rhythm back. We had injuries in second half of year and we struggled.
You guys done the same thing we did last year, so we understand the pain, but next year the only thing that stands in the saints way from winning the flag will be injuries, hopefully you guys have another good run with injuries and take the cup next year.
haha its a funny game football, shows how important it is to kick goals these days. At least unlike a lot of hawks fans, we can actually admit that the saints were the better team today. Our straight kicking in the first half kept us in the game.
The saints tho, will be almost unstoppable nxt...
It was bit of a surprise to see him leave after only a year after being taken off the rookie list, but wish him the best of luck, deserves to play in the afl
Good game, good win, the hawks in the last quarter were superb, nothing much you can take out of the game for both sides. Geelong the problem is jus ttheir accuracy in front of goal and the hawks just want to gets some guys back in the side.
This game however showed one thing, how good matthew...
Carn the dees, hope they have a good year this year. unfortunatly the kangas will win as they are one of the top 6 teams in the competition, expect them to have a good year.
Roos by 22
DJ will be a gun this year, all he needs is a chance and with hunt gone for the year, DJ will get his chance in the coming weeks and will become a premeirship player :)
Should be a good game, Hawks unfurling their flag may be a good thing for geelong, just that little bit of pain to give them more motivation. Rooke playing forward, a negating role on Hodge that shuld be an awesome match up, probs the most important.
Also watch Stokes have a big game, he...
Go the blues, great performance, what was it that kevin sheedy said? something about richmond being able to win the flag this year.....i think essendon got rid of him at the right time he starting to get delusional.
Richmond battling for the wooden spoon this year, they have gotten nowhere in...
I agree with Neville Bartos that this is the real game of footy in round 1 especially after last nights game, with 3 first gamers in for the hawks you would have to think that the cats would have the advantage but we all know how good hawks match up with geelong.
Shutting down Hodge will of...
Considering Hawthorn have got 3 first gamers playing Geelong should win. Hawthorn have got 6 players missin from last years gf and the cats have 2.
I agree that it will be rooke that will take the job on hodge, Stokes is a better player for us playing offence instead of trying to do a...
Apart from his 2 easy misses, Hawkins clearly showed more promise that Lonergan did in the forward line, he is able to take contested marks and it takes more than one player to take him down in a tackle however he is stil inexperienced and given some time he will become our number 1 forward...
How can you be shocked that Enright made it in? He made the All Australian team last year. I would of thought that Brad Green would of made in the top 50 considering he was your best player last year by a long way.
FB: Wojo* Scarlett Milburn
HB: Mackie Taylor Enright
C: Selwood Bartel Corey
HF: Rooke Mooney Chapman
FF: Stokes Hawkins** S. John
FOLL: Ottens Ablett Ling
Ben: Blake Kelly Gamble D. John***
* Wojo's run out of the backline against the cluster will be crucial...
Well with Hunt now gone for the year, it gives the chance for wojo or even d. johnson to get in the 22. i personally think that wojo should be in the side, he would be good against the hawks cluster with his speed, he can play on the small forwards like hunt can. Gamble has to stay, he is a gun...
