With all the folk waiting 'in the wings' I would guess that any politician would be running scared of losing an election should this topic become a hot issue around the time of the next State election. It only take a handful of votes in a marginal Electorate or two for the Government to change...
It's simple really.Use the negative things you read as a motivation for a win Good luck St Kilda.Put the boot into Geelong, the West coast Eagles' 'bitches';)
The difference is my friend is the the AFL are allowing Carlton to do as they wish, completely unfettered and with absoulutely no consequences unlike at West Coast where we were made to feel like lepers by that flipping Knob Demetriou. The AFL is being run by a bunch of idiots:confused:
[quote=HBF;15828391]Good onya Carlton Fnootball Club. It had to do something, and a $10k fine is pretty significat. You would have thought someone who turns 29 in January would be able to determine what is appropriate behaviour, and what is not.
Weak as piss Carlton
This latest...
Mate, not all tickets go to AFL or MCC members do they? I was refering to the the minimal quantity in particular that go to The Clubs and the way that they are inflated in value way beyond their face value,an action most likely illegal if it was actioned upon.
I note with interest your 'matter...
The whole ticket allocation thing is a farce and it's a fair bet that if somebody took the AFL to court over it, the present system would be struck down.
Particularly in regards to the Clubs inflating the face value of their tickets.
If my team was playing < $100 or any other team < $80 for preliminary
the whole way the tickets are issued for the Grand final though is (in my opinion) bloody corrupt.for instance each of the 16 Clubs are issued with 1000 tickets each WTF? whilst the other 64,000+ are spread out over MCG...
Re: Can you beat Judd's time? ** MB Thread moved here**
Thanks, but there were others much faster than me:o.On the odd occasion when he wasn't on 'international' duty I had the privilage of running (albeit well behind) in the same race as the great Steve Ovett, whose club had a long standing...
As they say...if you can't stand the heat in the kitchen then you should get out of it.
Personally I think he is an idiot (and the fools that gave him the clearance) to even consider playing.
[/B]
WELL, that's a bit rich! considering that most Collingwood supporters (including the people running the club) cannot see the wood for the trees.
Re: Can you beat Judd's time? ** MB Thread moved here**
Mmmmmmmmmmmm in the 'old money' that's six minute/miles, considered a yardstick by athletes. if you are achieving that already I would suspect you eventually will take about 10 minutes for the 3k distance.
Much easier to win a flag 'back then' when the only competition was a club from the adjoining suburb or the inbreds from just across town. The competition now is tight and a win in modern times must be the pinnacle for Clubs and their supporters. So, stats comparing all the Clubs can only be...
Don't worry it was read correctly. An (intellectual) argument taking place in the Eastern States often enough soon becomes a rumour that the Melbourne based media takes up and runs some story or other infering the player is "homesick" or "wants to move to Melbourne" where "the real footy" is...
Wouldn't be surprised to learn of an 'unwritten' law that says 'get the "famous" Collingwood' over the line,if at all possible.
for what it's worth I am sad that it's an all Vic affair this year:(
