Hi, I'm Steve and I'm a Swans-aholic. Its been a long time since I've been to BigFooty but I regularly visit RWO.
I am 43, from Melbourne and I've been a Swans fan as long as I can remember, just like my dad and his dad before him. Now my sister and I are taking a whole new generation of...
Youre probably confusing him with the Graham Wright who played for Collingwood
But you are (w)right that it was Stevie Wright's brother...though his name (I am 98% sure) was Michael
Over to you!!!
Who am I?
I played for the club in the South Melbourne days, never achieving the heights of my brother (though I was taller) who won B&Fs and Team Of the Century
The only thing we had in common was our red hair
Someone has to be the first one to take a guess....just to get the ball rolling
I am guessing Bill Faul, B&F 1932, played in the 1933 GF, came back and coached 1961 and 1962
I assume he was from WA and part of the Foreign Legion
He was recently recognised by being named HBF in the Team...
Hopefully an easier question (yes its been amended because i got it wrong..so very wrong...what can I say...Old Timers is settling in)
I carried the No 17 guernsey in the 1980s
I share my name with another australian sportsman (not aussie rules).....who is just as famous for his on and off...

I am going to take a punt on Jack Bissett
Had to transfer from Richmond to captain coach South...Bissett may qualify as a famous surname re Jacqueline Bissett
Frank Johnson won the Liston trophy in 1952, won the Swans Best and Fairest in 1960?
Stephen Allender won the Liston in 1980 went on to wear the No 14 jumper at the Swans
Vic Aanensen won two listons 1979 and 1981 and played for the Swans
ok....i will try to be more orientated to the swans this time...apparently norm goss was too obscure
following on frome cricketer-footballers
Who am I?
i was a champion aussie rules player...in my opinion the best ever, who also played cricket for australia...without ever playing...
long before Norm Jr played for hawthorn, he played for south melbourne, won a best and fairest and was leading goalkicker in 1974
but seeing as you at least guessed the right family I will let you have a shot
its not a johnson...but youre on the right path thinking about port melbourne
so its a swans best and fairest...and leading goalkicker...who is a member of a port melbourne dynasty
not the player I am thinking of...the clue is that the dynasty may not necessarily be at the swans...and it is generational rather than brothers
this really is a question for melbourne supporters
ok...who am I?
i was once a leading goalkicker and a best and fairest...and a member of a football family dynasty
and a second non-swans who am i...that I heard on melbourne radio this morning
michael tuck was reported for striking only once...and the player he struck went on to...
ok..in that case...who am I?
I was once a high flying goalkicker who wore the No 10 with the red and white when they were south melbourne, but I am not who you think I am...although I was often pictorially compared with him
a peruse of the reviews of the reserves games on sydneyswans.com.au showed he was amongst the best players in a number of games...including a couple of games when he kicked 3 goals. However most of that was early in the season...up to June/July..as he didnt get a mention towards the end of the...
All in all a promising draft...I agree Willoughby and Schmidt look the standouts but I have a good feeling about Davis
This year we also have the likes of McVeigh, Malceski, Thewlis and Dempster who could get a taste of senior footy...and hopefully Sundqvist, Powell, Ablett, Buchanan etc will...
Apparently there were between 4000-5000 at the Swans family day in melbourne...so all goes well for a membership boost down here...it already is a home away from home...and the swans supporters in melbourne are very passionate
the underlying problem for melbourne members is that we only get 5...
Melbourne supporters should go to the old lake oval (now the Bob Jane stadium) on sunday december 7...from 11.30 to 2.30 for the family day...lots of players including maxfield, goodsey, barry hall etc, roosey and say farewell to cressa
free entry...activities for kids, sausage sizzle etc
You have totally missed Roosey's point - if you look at the Sydney list there is something like 25 players aged 23 and under
Goodes, Jude Bolton, Craig Bolton, Fosdike, Kennelly, Fixter, O'Keefe, Schneider, Roberts-Thomson, Doyle, James, Ablett, Buchanan, Nick Davis, Meiklejohn, Sundqvist...
I am going 23 and under for Sydney...not a bad side as not many teams can boast a Brownlow winner, an Irishmen, an Ablett and a hyphen
B Dempster C Bolton Fixter
HB Powell James Kennelly
C McVeigh N Davis...
I too have been a Swans supporter for most of my 41 years. I have memories of watching Bob Skilton in the twilight of his career, having a jumper with Peter Bedford's number 11.
I am still a member and go to all Melbourne games..and next year plan to start going to Sydney once a year for one...
