Can you name the AFL's tallest players?! QUIZ!

With QANTAS on the slide it's a matter of time before another airline jumps into the stadium sponsorship market...... how about a few million a year to dump the "SCG" and go to "Emirates Arena"? ;)

Can you name the AFL's tallest players?! QUIZ!

I think Blundstone is Bellerive, it has a sponsor now..... I notice it's still called Bellerive Oval in the cricket fixture though.

    TDF10: Stage 2 Brussels - Spa 201km

Re: TDF10: Stage 2 - Brussels - Spa 201 km I have a feeling that the final climb might be a little tough for a lot of the sprinters. I think Freire looked strong yesterday until he was caught out on that final corner so he will be one to watch. Boassen Hagen is also a big threat. There will...

    2010 Tour de France

Last years field was weaker than this year, but he'd still have to be a chance I'd say. Some of his helpers are actually fairly decent. I like Casar, Di Gregorio and Vaugrenard. A pretty good tip for top Frenchman, Moinard from Cofidis would be the other to watch.

    SBS Fantasy Tour de France

Correct. Except that I don't think the prologue counts as a stage this year so it's not as important to load up with TT guys.

    2010 Tour de France

I don't think it will really matter, he's good enough to chase down any dangerous attacks himself. If one of the rivals attacks, he can sit on the wheel until a few km from the top and have a crack himself. He has such a great turn of speed that the problems that befall Evans when he has no team...

    SBS Fantasy Tour de France

SBS have opened up their fantasy TdF competition. $20k prize this year! :) http://tdf.sbs.com.au/tdf2010/fantasy I've started up a BigFooty league, this added a bit of interest to those boring stages during last years Tour. League Name: BigFooty Password: cadel Good luck!

    2010 Tour de France

That Quickstep team might struggle....has Boonen looked likely in a genuine sprint for the last two years? He might still be a star on the pave but forget about TdF stage victories. Nice balance on the Columbia squad, watch for Micky Rogers to outperform Cadel as top Aussie. I'd love to see him...

    Dubrovnik Hostels

There's a place in the old town called Fresh Sheets, a bit pricey at €28 but seems like a great location. I'm probably going to book a bed there for a few days in August and there's already plenty of days booked out, so may be tricky to get a bed for the summer months.

A semi-answer to what happens to Dream Team when GC enter the league

Adrian Anderson already mentioned that the likely structure would be 23 weeks of 8 games (one bye team) and 1 week of 3 games (11 bye teams). My guess would be that the 3 game round would be midyear. I think the best solution would be just to add an extra bench position and slightly higher...

Five weeks in Europe - Contiki type tour, or own travel?

Another thing to remember is that the Eurail pass is not always the best option price wise. You still have to pay a reservation fee on some trains and you have to pay extra for sleeper trains. It's possible to find really cheap fares (sometimes they're even refundable) that work out much cheaper...

    Accessing funds in Europe

Agreed, the Gold Visa debit from NAB is everything anyone would ever need when travelling. Link it up with an isaver account and you get decent interest payments every month. Internet banking is very easy to use so you could also feed money into the Visa debit account in smaller amounts to give...

    MidField Structure

Very risky but I don't hate it. Copping zeroes is not your biggest worry. You have to find 2-3 strong mid rookies between rounds 6-12 for downgrade targets. To get the real premiums (Bartel, Ablett etc.) it will cost you a double trade (480k + 100k = 290k + 290k, being optimistic). That will...

    MidField Structure

Agreed. Just dispelling the thought that picking the 150k guy will enable you to more easily upgrade him to a premium due to his starting price. :)
  26. W

    MidField Structure

There is some talk of picking guys like Scully/Trengove/Connors because they are going to be closer in price to premiums so upgrades will be easier. I did some quick analysis on the dreamteamtalk price calculator to see the difference in picking the 95k guys vs picking 155k guys. Assumptions...

Conspiracy Theory 9/11 - The debate continues

^ Thanks Bloods. :D I was just about to post one of those! BVT, did you google 50 tonne hydraulic press and come up with a whole heap of small-ish looking pieces of machinery? Then decided....I'll search 30 tonne hydraulic press and see what shows up! Hey look! A big green thing! Let's post...

Conspiracy Theory 9/11 - The debate continues

    1. Regardless of how the buildings came down, there would have been sulphates in the rubble. It's a very common material in buildings such as the WTC. One source was the calcium sulphate wallboards (ie gypsum). These are 19% sulphur, and there was a lot of gypsum in the towers. Thermate...

Conspiracy Theory 9/11 - The debate continues

Ummm....even you provided quotes that mention fireballs. The 50 tonne hydraulic press weighed about 200kg, the hydraulic capacity was 50 tonnes. Not a very big piece of machinery. I dispute that the parking garage was "gone". I've stated my theory. All the evidence fits, or can be explained...
