As we've seen tonight, it's not pick 19 if Richmond come last. The first round goes on and on. They have traded pick 1-4 for two picks in the late twenties. Madness.
Letting the premier get Ashcroft not just with the discount that comes with Father-Son but needlessly at pick 5 or so is such a joke. What is wrong with clubs?
I actually agree that clubs should not get $1M for finishing on top of the ladder and then failing in finals. But it is hilariously transparent that the first time Robbo has raised this issue was when Hawthorn's AFLW side won it.
No excuses with that draw. We get 3 top 8 sides twice and 3 bottom 8 sides twice. Of those we get twice, we have a strong recent record against Collingwood Carlton Brisbane Adelaide.
Lots of high profile games as we’d want.
Challenge will be tough start again and our propensity to start slow...
Completely agree with those list decisions. The list is in great shape, there’s barely a player going into 2025 I don’t think can contribute if required at AFL level.
The only name on that list that strikes me as AFL level (when rarely fit) is Jack Martin who the Cats have bagged. Preuss might get a run at another club because ruckmen get 10 year + careers just because of their height.
There we go. All no name players from the least supported club suspended. Not a single recognisable name. No wonder the AFL has chosen to go hard on this one
Agree with that, though it applies to AFL inaction toward actual violent offenders now. Cousins was welcomed to this year's Brownlow, those old offenders are still revered and as recently as this year, the AFL refused to ban Thomas until he made it impossible for even a club like Geelong to...
What irks here is the absolute token lip service the AFL pays to actual violence against women. Not stupid and poor attempts at humour, but actual criminal violence.
Ben Cousins was welcomed with open arms to the 2024 Brownlow. He’s been jailed for terrorising his former partner. Carey has not...
The stand out feature this year is that we nailed our objectives.
Last year's trade period worked out brilliantly in hindsight but that involved a lot of last minute opportunistic moves when some unwanted players popped up like Ginnivan and Chol. Our primary objective involved Ben McKay which...
Delist. He’s the worst player remaining on the list and we have just added two key defenders. He’s miles off getting a game with the list as it now stands
Actually pick 14 was irrelevant in the end and unrelated to the deal. We traded that for the Carlton picks, which we have retained.
We traded our own F1, F2 and F3 for Barrass and F4.
Barely. Pick 17 for a very capable 23 year old.
Dogs got pick 25 for Caleb Daniel by comparison.
A number of deals hard to understand, those being two of them. Comparing the Houston and Rioli prices the other. Richmond made out like bandits by trading three above average players for a swathe...
