Re: Oakland Raiders: "The Black Hole"
After the draft it was said that Dallas too opted for players with a focus on desire, commitment, heart etc. Perhaps these two clubs notorious for an obsession with flash may be finally waking up to themselves. New boys Jackson and Garrett seeing the...
Re: 2012 NFL Mock Draft Already
The last time Dallas picked up a defensive back called Cliff Harris turned out pretty good though Captain Crash was white and balding not black with dreadlocks
Re: NFL Quiz
Quiz #2 Answers:
1. In the NFL, the defender may make continuous contact with receiver within the first five yards of the line of scrimmage. Anything after that is penalized as illegal contact. Pass interference is called if the defensive player contacts the offensive player while...
Re: NFL Quiz
The second installment of my NFL quiz in much the same vein as the original. Answers to be posted sometime in the future.
There are over 400 page views but is anyone apart from Woodson attempting them?
OFFICIATING
1. What is the difference between illegal contact and pass...
Re: DVDs or Books
I just started reading this the other week. I'm about half way through and so far so good. I might change my tune though by the time I get to the downfall part ... There is also a hardcover version which has a different looking cover, but I opted for the original. It was...
Re: NFL Merchandise: Where to Buy etc
I stumbled across a sports store called Buffalo Sports which is located just outside the city of Melbourne in Brunswick.
For anyone interested in buying (cheap) rubber gridirons they have a few including this one below for $4.40. I mean it's shit but decent...

Re: 2010/2011 NFL Punting Market Odds
Only had $2 remaining in my betting account, and while I initially liked Heath Miller to score the first TD (at $13) I got greedy and have changed to Aaron Rodgers ($17) which would put me ever so slightly in front for the year. First TD scorer crapshoot...
I recommend taking a look at this analysis of the o-line from 'Blogging the Boys'.
Uses the ProFootballFocus data (which I believe is no longer free) and gives ratings on pass, run, penalty, overall and compares positions around the league.
Simple to understand too, just think green is good...

Neutral Zone Infraction: Prior to snap, a defensive player enters the neutral zone and causes an offensive player to false start.

With Dick LeBeau and Dom Capers about to face off as opposing D-coordinators in the Superbowl, NFL.com have a story today on how these two maestros shaped the 3-4 zone blitz as we know it today...
Re: Super Bowl XLV: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Green Bay Packers
The Steelers had shaky o-lines in their past two SB wins. By that I mean shaky through the season, but stout enough at the right time of the year. I'm sure they'll be fine. I look at it in that it's only one game, and not having to...
After reading the Survey thread above I noticed that people like answering questions, so I had this idea of making a quiz to get everyone involved.
It might be too easy for most of you but there's a few ripsnorters.
Maximum total score is 50. The points available for each question are shown in...
Re: Super Bowl XLV: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Green Bay Packers
Here's something to keep you guys busy at halftime
Should ship just in time for the big one. I think a bulk order is on the cards
Re: NFL 2010/2011 - AFC Championship Game
A Bears player made a similarly outlandish statement this past week. Of course the Jets and Bears lost. It's almost always by little known players too. When are they going to learn?
This guy was on to something (and ironically a Bears fan):
Re: Superbowl XLV: Piitsburgh Steelers (2) vs Green Bay Packers (6)
As long as Jerry's alive we'll never catch Pittsburgh, whereas if Green Bay win they'll only be one behind and will inevitably match/overtake us
Pittsburgh had this same idea in the superbowl versus Seahawks which was...
Depending on the meaning of ‘taking someone out’ the consequences of getting a disposable player (or any player) to do such a heinous act could be tragic, and I’m not just talking about the victim QB. The attacking player, being a nobody, would have little protection on the street and be forced...
Re: 2010/2011 NFL Punting Market Odds
So the most likely SB matchup will be PIT-GB, and the least likely NYJ-CHI. But I don't think either of these scenarios will occur.
I'm banking on either PIT-CHI or NYJ-GB. Also this weeks matches should both be unders
Re: Who are you supporting to win the SuperBowl?
Well since the superbowl will be played in Cowboys Stadium, which team winning would be least offensive? Probably the Bears. I do like the Packers and Steelers but they are rivals. Undecided on the Jets, but at the least it would be most...
Re: NFL Merchandise: Where to Buy etc
I made an order on December 7th and received it about 4 days ago. I'm in Melbourne, so I'd say Perth would take an extra few days. Overall you should get it in about 5-7 days is my guess

Re: 2010/2011 NFL Punting Market Odds
Probably my last shot at glory this week with only the two games next week.
Unless I load up more money on smaller odds multi's... hell I should've been doing that all along
I have a feeling Green Bay will ruin this, so I've got a backup multi with ATL...

Re: 2010/2011 NFL Punting Market Odds
Teams I think will win this week: Eagles, Chiefs, Jets, Saints (but Seahawks will get close)
Have five separate $1 whirlers lined up for this week, but will just unveil the big daddy:
