I would offer up any of those trades.
I would also offer 1st and 2nd round picks and then trade back into the draft.
IMO, he is the absolute must of trade week....someone that will actually be able to win the ruck position rather than just neutralize it.
I think both Browne and Gus at best can try and neutralise the ruck position - forget about actually winning the ruck position for the day.
Unfortunately, both have very small engines which means come last quarter, they are completely spent! None more visable that yesterday when Jamar...
Gee we have it bad in the backline. Time and time again, nerveous defenders looking to dish off as quick as they can only to put their team-mates under even more pressure.
Hot Potato culprits include:
-Rance
-McGuane
-Farmer
Unfortunately, Tuck is the master of the Hot Potato in the...
Given age is not a factor in the trade, the question should simply be: At our pick of the draft, is there anyone in the draft that is likely to be a better player than Tregrove?
If the answer is no then we should trade first pick for him.
The next decision will be: Are we prepared to...
Bulking him up to be more effective in the ruck will be dangerous as it could jeopardise his acceleration.
Lets keep him slimmer, more agile and a threat down forward. He could be our Kurt Tippett.
so much to like about him. Even we completely out of marking form, he still has elite positioning and body work that guarantee him a couple of sausage rolls each week.
I think he is starting to have more confidence in Vickory taking one-on-one contested marks and is therefore not flying over...
OK the sub player needs to have an impact. Not sure that Farmer did. In fact, he looked very rusty.
Did Farmer prove his form in the VFL or did he just get a free ride into the team? If he is still rusty, he should be finding his feet in the VFL.
With Webberly consistently being named...
Vickery has shown something this season....I believe he could be our long term CHF / backup ruckman. I would rather see Vickory spend most of his time in teh forward line than in the ruck as he seems to naturally be a goal kicker.
I would hate to move Vickery out just so as to fit Griffiths...

Please close this thread and move it to OP as it relates to non-Richmond players (consistent with all the other threads that have been closed on similar topics).

Goldsack of the Collingwood variety
He seems to be a bit player at Collingwood that comes in and out of the team.
Personally, I would see him being huge steps ahead of Rance and possibly McGuane.
Anyone think he should be lured to Tigerland?
Name your players here.
For mine, it is Angus Graham and Daniel Connors.
Angus Graham tries hard but at best is able to neutralise the ruck contents - I just dont see him providing our midfielders with hitouts to advantage. He isnt able to take a good mark and doesnt seem to get to enough...
Question re Polec
I dont really know much about the potential draftees other than what I see on Youtube or the AFL site.
Polec looks a bit similar (in my eyes) to Daniel Connors. Very left footed and likes to do the fancy stuff.
Am I right or way off the mark?
Richmond will keep an eye of the status of uncontracted players and will advise Houli at the 11th hour as to whether to nominate for the ND or PSD. Simple as that.
Per David Clokes comments on trade week radio, it seems as though there are issues with him staying at Collingwood.
Carlton are apparently keen.
Should Richmond make a big play for him (either with a big offer in the PSD or with with a trade pre 2pm?).
I would suggest that Richmond would be happy to pick up Houli in the PSD and will trade with Carlton. Probably trade our compensation pick received from Adelaide or our second round pick (with some shuffling of later picks). Dont think a player will be swapped.
PS - if Carlton start playing...
Hutchy said that Geelong are making a play for Tambling but from what he understands, Tamblings first preference (for family reasons) is Adelaide.
Hutchy seemed to say that Geelong could trump Adelaide by offering their no.1 selection for Tambling (low 20's) whereas Adelaide are offering Bock...
I actually think he could fit quite well at Richmond (if not too expensive).
He could be parked at CHF short-term while Griffith and Vickory are still learning and could pinch-hit in the ruck if required.
Would only trade though via a player swap or third round pick.
