This is the best post.
He creates a whole little story with characters.
Even calls Jeff, Jeffa for that extra bit of authenticity. This is a man who is an accomplished bullshitter.
I agree that was the post i found the funniest too. The way he ended though "great day funny times" seems like it could almost be just a shit stir, rather than a self pwn.
Speaking of snapper, I just bought some goldenband snapper fillets from the fishmonger and it was $38.50 a kilo! 
That seemed a bit pricey but I don't eat a lot of fish normally so thought I'd get some quality.
DJ's 1.1m "snapper" would have been worth a few hundred bucks!

I caught was I now think was a Golden Snapper today in the Gold Coast canals. Had a big black 'eye' down near the tail and yellowy color on its fins. I threw it back as I was fishing off a bridge and had no water in my bucket. At first I thought it had a third eye, then thought maybe it was tagged and wasnt until Id hauled it over the bridge that i realised the 'eye' was part of its skin.
Just googlin around seems it was a Golden Snapper, but probably a juvenile.

What type of fish is that?
The OP called it a snapper which immediately told me he was lying, nothing like a snapper.
Looks a bit like a red jew (found in Norther Australia including Queensland GBR) but the fork tail is not a characteristic of the red jew.

It's a Snapper, but what they call snapper in the US. He owned himself in so many ways that I never bothered to bring it up.
