10. Geelong is a drain on the AFL & Victoria.
http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-02-24/cats-aim-to-be-debtfree-for-first-time-in-50-years
This is a club which has been in debt for 50 years. Count 'em, fifty! Even Norf has a better financial record. If the Cats weren't based in a one-team-town they'd have gone bust decades ago.
9. Geelong furthers the influence of Australian Wiseguys.

Its no secret Brian Cook has had to grovel at the feet of Cats #1 ticket holder Frank Costa for handouts on countless occasions. Did I mention Costa is Sicilian and made his fortune from his 'legitimate' business in the fruit & vegetable trade? I'm sure you can join the dots.
8. Geelong's greatest-ever player is a woeful human being.
He may have been a brilliant full-forward (and an above-average midfielder) but Gary Ablett Senior is a religious nutjob with a very shady criminal past. I won't go into details but most of us know only too well why this man is white trash scum.
7. Geelong is synonymous with drug abuse.
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/la...e/news-story/9f7a39579182e64eab738c0cdfcfb8db
When Corio Bay's meth problem reached such levels that even its police shamefacedly suggested it be legalized, you knew things were out of control. Much like the club's involvement with Bomber Thompson, Dean Robinson & Stephen Dank that turned a mediocre team into an unstoppable juggernaught over a single syringe-fueled preseason. All three were moved on & the evidence shredded before ASADA could investigate.
6. Geelong encourages obesity.
The pictorial evidence speaks for itself.
5. Geelong are serial rule-abusers.
From Tom Hawkins' point post "goal" in the 2009 GF to Steve Johnson & Matthew Scarlett's appetite for squirrel-gripping opponents behind play, all the way to Joel Selwood's penchance for ducking & buckling his knees at the slightest contact, Geelong is a club that's turned rule abuse into an art form.
4. Geelong has an unhealthy victim mentality.
Much like South Australians, Geelong residents seem born with chips on their shoulders. Ceaselessly comparing their town to Melbourne & their football club with Hawthorn they invariably come up short, fueling their sense of inferiority and perpetual belief they've been robbed or shortchanged.
3. Geelong stands for and celebrates mediocrity.
Whether its begging the AFL to recognize VFA flags won in the 1880s, boasting they won more H&A games than anyone since 1990 despite choking in 4 GFs in that time, or celebrating the highest losing score ever in a game against Hawthorn in 1989 -and Ablett's 9 goals in their GF loss the same year- finishing second has never been regarded as failure at Geelong.
2. Geelong treat their veteran players like rubbish.
Like the Geelong fans who never bothered hanging around to cheer off Corey Enright in his 300th game when they were losing to Melbourne, or the ease with which Chris Scott sacked Chapman, Johnson, Kelly & Stokes because he needed salary cap room for Dangerfield, Geelong has a history of treating its' former favorite sons like garbage.
1. Geelong fans are despicable.
If they aren't threatening to stab opposition supporters after losing a final, making frightening real-life threats in Bigfooty private messages or displaying boundless arrogance after being declared premiership favorites, they're turning on their own players & coach with equal venom. Horrible, horrible people.
**** of the yearLOL

As an atheist I don't say this lightly, but he needs Jesus. You need a new hobby.

The bit about accepting mediocrity is pretty spot on
We try to aim higher, each to their own thoughNorf would give their right nut to be mediocre.

Geelong accept mediocrity, as detailed in the OP.Sorry NL.but this makes no sense.

Why are you arguing with me about it and not BoskWhy would we agressively recruit players that have so far delivered a top 4 spot if we were happy with 10th last year.
Why are you arguing with me about it and not Bosk
Would you argue with a flog who disagrees that water is wet just for the sake of argument..?Why are you arguing with me about it and not Bosk
Read the dot point, pretty clear they're historically happy with being close enoughCos he's busy either being asleep, praying or sticking pins in his Cats voodoo doll collection.
You're here stating you agree with his opinion. So I'm questioning why you do..
