AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Stewart was playing as a defender old mate.
I agree 100% that Weed has not been up to it for too long but I don't know who we can bring that is a structural fit given the role he has been playing (KPF).
VFL?He wasn't. Most recently he was playing forward.

Lol. This is pretty much me too.all i remember is him watching the ball go through for an oppo goal while he was standing on the line, it’s all blank after that
He is also injured so he isn't playing anywhere!Does it matter?
We know Stewart can play back or forward.
I’m aware. This is not unusual for StuzzaHe is also injured so he isn't playing anywhere!
He'd be handy right now if fit I suspect.I’m aware. This is not unusual for Stuzza
Should be the thread title.Sam would probably be experiencing some imposter syndrome
Ya’ll realize it’s a team sport right? The sum of the parts (eg the team and structure) is more important than the individual? I get that he is out of form, but dropping the individual would hurt the team for all the reasons consistently posted by others in this thread. This thread feels like a broken record at times
I'm wondering if you still feel this way, and chances are up now? Wright had 10 hitouts, Weiderman had 0.Weid is staying in the side for 1 reason atm, he can 2nd ruck. If Draper was fit he’d be dropped.
Geelong will be he last chance imo, because if Cox is again solid he could come in against the dogs and Draper might be back. Or Bryan plays well and we go with the Phillips Bryan combo again.
Always seen DERO in more of a slowish opportunistic small forward type roleI'd be happy to give you a go at this stage mate.
Didn't mind Grimley.Worse than any top up from 2016 and that includes Sam Grimley.
DERO is very much in the Josh Green mold
Joe the goose/ tag me cowardDERO is very much in the Josh Green mold
Yes we got him for nothing but he still has a contract until the end of next year and takes up a list spot. Maybe there was no one else out there that we could have got that was worthy of a spot, but I don't really vibe with the idea that it's not a problem just because he was cheap. We wouldn't pick up Can'tplay McGillicutty just because he was cheap. We got him for moreorless nothin. Happy to take the chance but I’d had severe doubts that it would suddenly become a player. Just lacks competitiveness and has terrible hands.
2 years in nothing, was worth the risk. Doesn’t look like it’ll work, we move on. Not like we gave up anything good.Yes we got him for nothing but he still has a contract until the end of next year and takes up a list spot. Why was it worth the risk picking up someone who hadn't shown anything?2 years in nothing, was worth the risk. Doesn’t look like it’ll work, we move on. Not like we gave up anything good.
Because physically he has all the tools. I guess we backed ourselves as a club to get the between the ears stuff happening. But it's not happening. Why was it worth the risk picking up someone who hadn't shown anything?
we did burn a top 6 pick on francis, only to trade him for what we paid for Weideman only to watch him play serviceably in defence where he always should have been for the swans......so there's thatI see you guys have now had the full Weideman experience. At least you didn’t burn a top 10 pick on him
necessity. Why was it worth the risk picking up someone who hadn't shown anything?
he was always good for us in defense, dunno why we kept trying him in the forward linewe did burn a top 6 pick on francis, only to trade him for what we paid for Weideman only to watch him play serviceably in defence where he always should have been for the swans......so there's that
