Special gif request please k31th - I know it is amongst the other gif thread but the SHeds no look handball in the 3rd on Sunday to Lynch that led to Cotchin's goal - a gif of just that classic Edwards no-looker would be great...

Just saw the announcement. Came to the decision on his own, doing the best thing for the club as he always does.

Such a stalwart of the side for such a long time.

Norm Smith votes in 2/3 grannies.

Captained the club for a number of games.

And I think 186 goals, 210 goal assists pretty much sums him up as a bloke.

Anyone else rememer the '18 Dreamtime?

It's going to take quite the video editor to capture all the amazing things that he's managed to produce over his career when it comes to producing his highlights package. So many things would go unseen the first couple of viewings! Someone I wasn't so sure about in the early years but became absolutely instrumental in our flag years.
Let's not forget he was captain for a number of weeks when we had so many senior players out and helped steady a ship that could have quite easily sunk given our history. He killed it over that period, and then became even better afterwards.
A Tiger legend and should find his way into the Hall of Fame eventually when all the non Tiger (and some Tiger) peanuts catch up to how good he was.

Here's to a ripper finals series to go out in style! Go well in retirement.

Gone past Greg Williams - best handball games seen.

In the first half of career if he had less dumb teammates would have heaps more highlights

Something that I think isn't mentioned enough is his performance in the 2020 Grand Final. He played a big part in keeping us in touch in the 2nd qtr and helping swing the game back our way. Won a few clearances however he could that night, kicks off the ground, slaps forward etc. Was important in shifting the momentum that night and as a result we won our third flag in four years. Received Norm Smith votes from 4 out of 5 judges for his performance.

Congrats on a brilliant career Shedda, a true club legend!

Congratulations Shane Edwards on a stellar career at Tigerland.

He really came on in the second half of his career. Great player in big games, possibly the best quick handball in the AFL, reliable in front of goals, great reading off the packs, versatile and able to stay on the park which is an underrated attribute.

Thanks for the memories, one of the key players of the famous dynasty which is where he really stepped up to a new level as a player.

Genuine champion of this football club.
The most craftiest and clever user of the handball ever…….left oppos bamboozled. Deserves a 4th flag send off.
