It would be a hard time of year. In December and January they have the Tennis and Cricket and from February to the end of the trade period it's bassically football as the default discussion.

I know there is plenty of sport on at the moment with A-League, NBL, racing, AFLW and WBBL but there is not enough interest in any of those to have have in depth discussions.

October is the leanest month of the year on SEN. Those five sports/codes highlighted don't register a flicker for me. Horse-racing being the worst - dreadful stuff.

Not sure why Kane is still plugging away on Breakfast. What's he been talking about for three hours a day - the slightest bit of AFL in the news?

I don't know why Kane is on there. He is a workaholic but he would be better taking a few months off.

He is actually not too bad with other sports but it's not his specially. I presume he finishes soon.

Fair bit of sport on, including Baseball World Series, the NBA season starting, NFL in full swing, NHL season starting, a few months into the EPL, F1 nearing the end of the season, NBL starting, A-League starting, etc.

You don't have to go indepth with it (like SEN's obsession with the AFL), you just need the right regular contributors to be able to give you a quick overview, or guests who are well know or very entertaining.

It's a weird month. Light on footy which is SEN's core(and mine too), but the key on-air personnel go on yet another holiday so we get the fill ins such as Sam Edmund, Adam White and Julian de Stoop...They're always hovering in the background but are all FAR better than the big name spuds they're filling in for. Mix those three with Kingy/Korn and we might just have the nub of a 24/7 station.
