I dunno about my favourite moment, but.... After St Kilda lost either the 2009 or 2010 Grand Final, someone on air rang Finey. It amused me the way he described how bummed out he was. He drove home in daze, bought some pot noodles from a convenience store, then stayed in bed for 2 or 3 days. That's caring

yep he couldnt come in to work,missed a few of his shifts after that '09 loss,bloke was genuinely devastated

Peaky was devastated as well on Gladiators of sport on the night of either the 2009 or 2010 loss.

I missed it, but later in the week he began the overnight segment by reading an apology for his behaviour on that night and that his Mum made him read it out.

I can only imagine the trolling he would have received that night from the likes of Craig from McLeod.

That was really loose radio. For late night listening, it was kinda perfect. You don't want a show that just rehashes the same crap that's been talked about all day. I miss it. Now we just get replays

Gladiators of Sport was the pinnacle of train crash radio. It was a loose as it comes but just compelling listening. So entertaining. I used to be a rusted on SEN listener, but sadlly no longer since the current station management took over with their programming and on air talent decisions.
