Was driving to work the other morning and reckon I heard the newsreader (the usually very good Amy Drew I think) pronounce Thanasi Kokkanakis as "Anthony Cocka-knackers". It must have been for a bet...

Haha, I just heard her on the news & that's exactly how she pronounced the Kokk's name today too.

I'm way more triggered by this than I should be but what's with the god awful fake American accent on some of the ads these days?
The accent is the worst attempt I have ever heard and it's appearing on more and more ads.
I have to mute until they are over.

Yes, they overdo "arrrrrrrs". They sometimes sound like pirates
