I don't mind them. It still feels a few weeks to early for AFL talk but I get there isn't much else around. The Test series will help.

I think they have been doing 5 days a week of late, that's hard when you have limited things to talk about.

To be unlimited require research and preparation. Something afl scribes are allergic to.

However, Corn has at times interviewed non footy guests well and asked good questions. Sam is an excellent host

It's actually not that hard if you have a dedicated runsheet, a good producer & some inventive segments.

Problem is, these bozos just want to take the easy road instead of actually doing some hard work in the preparation area.

It's harder than you think day after day with limited content. They also can't just get any guests. They spread them.outbduring the day.

Even so Sam and Kane put in a heap of work but only AFL, Cricket and a few of weeks of other sports like Tennis have any appeal. It's just a bit early to be digging too deep into AFL.

Limited content? There's sport happening all over the world.
By guests you mean AFL players/coaches/admin?

As LordL said, inventive segments. if its not the "who will be your teams X factor this season?", come up with something different relating to a different sport. It's how you keep listeners listening.

To make a radio show work, especially in the breakfast slot, it is imperative you have a rotating roster of segments across the week. The breakfast show itself should be light, bright & fast-paced, not drawn out & laboured.

Radio is 'theatre of the mind' and the SEN people either haven't been told that or can't be bothered adhering to it.

The other key aspect they do not pay attention to is the "quarter hour maintenance".

Tremendous to have the pleasant to the ear, dulcet tones of Gerard Whateley back.

It’s like meeting up with an old friend you haven’t seen for months.
Think Grace Helbig GIF

"Sync up the SEN app to the TV coverage of the cricket" we're told.

What for? Other than Tom Morris, it's the same bloody commentators (not that I mind them at all) !!! They must just walk from one commentary box to the other and back again on the half hour,
Yeah but "every Tottenham game is live"
FFS.
