Flies like an eagle, fast as a tiger, used to be a dog, a giant of the backline you can’t get past...
Most importantly he’s a blue eagle tiger ex- dog giant legend.

Really admire the journey Liam has been on. From showing some amazing athleticism early in his career as a forward, to struggling to cement a spot, to embracing a change to the backline and now one of the best defenders in the game and a leader of our group, inspiring

Who said Carlton can't develop players. But all credit to Liam, this is the perfect example of elite sports being above the shoulders, a powerful mindset to achieve the best of one's self

Strangely, Liam was effectively traded for Caleb Daniel, both clubs have done well

Go hard Liam, enjoy!!

Was at the 2s game vs Sandy. Bruce had been dropped to find some confidence. Jones destroyed him. Bruce couldn’t get a touch. Jones marked or spoiled everything. Most dominant game I have ever seen a defender play. He was awesome.

Was the day I thought their might be something to the crazy move down back.

Jones positive attitude when he had been told his papers were stamped is so inspiring.

For a guy who 5 years ago, when most people had written him off, to rediscover himself as a defender and push himself to become one of the leagues premier intercept defenders is amazing.

Liam is a Carlton football club player.
Amongst the greatest stories in the AFL in the last 20 years, I’m very happy and proud to cheer him on every time our club enters the field of battle and that punch versus hawthorn a few years back gave us our first win against them in nigh on decades, one of our longest droughts ever.
