I reckon it might be more the broken ribs more than the concussion that is on his mind.

I’ve copped a couple of broken or badly bruised ribs taking charges in nothing level basketball. It really hurts for a long while and the prospect of copping another involuntarily pops into my head a bit now just before likely hard contact.

I've broken ribs twice.

The first time I broke two ribs in a hit playing footy, undoubtedly the most painful thing I have done and I've broken a few bones, dislocated a few too and had a heap of stitches over the years

He’s not on his own but he does seem a bit apprehensive at times at contested situations particularly in the air. It wouldn’t surprise me if the hit in the ribs last year dented his confidence a bit.

Feel for Hunter this season, all the ball goes through him because they know he'll at least compete.

They’d need to replace him with something better though.

Last year the non-Langdon wing was a bit of a disaster. Mostly Jordon. Spargo when Langdon was injured.

Brayshaw is needed onball with no Clarry and even then Brayshaw was a mediocre wing in 2021 (IMO).

Howes and Woewodin playing wing in the VFL in 2022 but this year they’re not and it’s almost always Casey listed players on the wing this year.

Bring in Harmes to play there? Yuck.

Langdon has been very underwhelming ball in hand this year. It’s probably like ANB though, if he’s doing all the running and the right things helping out the defence he’s not getting dropped.

Put Brayshaw back on the wing and have him play there for Casey as well. Might run off the spare tire that way.

It difficult Hunter gets more volume but I thought he had heaps of scrub kicks last night.

Agree but he plays the same wing as Hunter. And plays it well, defensively.

He needs a wake up call.

Same as a lot of the team going back a couple of weeks.
But many have lifted over the past 2 weeks. Maxy being the most.

Having a much better year this year, stats aren’t crazy different to the last two seasons but the eye test is much more favourable. The cynic in me thinks it’s because I’m pretty sure he’s OOC this year but hopefully he keeps it up.

They seemed to favour Hunter the last 2 years, definitely takes away from his effectiveness when they both play imo.

He's also spent some time at half forward. I think Goody shifted him forward in the Tiges game.

Kinda freed him up a bit I think.

Hes been good this season. I've been on his case the past 2 seasons, for being soft.

This year hes decided to have a dip.

I wish Frittas better performances were linked to his big hair... then he could grow on all of us. He could grow it to his toes if that worked.

Not sure why you have a problem with this? He had never had problems with injury or durability, is good at his role, and we have no one else banging down the door to take his spot. I'm sure we are not paying a fortune for him so why not lock him into until the end of his career?

Sounds bad at first hey? Been durable though, and will only be 32 when the contract ends.

If they've worked it in a way where it works around Gus' concussion discount an allows us to go after some trade/FA talent this year then it might work out ok in the long run.

Huh? I'm sure I've seen them on opposite wings. Who plays opposite then?
