I don't think the knee ruined him. I think everyone's expectations were unreasonably inflated from a few great things on his debut, mine included.

2 years post ACL and he's still a mile off it. Perhaps we just picked a player that wasn't very good. Shock horror a 2nd round reach from AD that hasn't worked out.

I don’t follow this comment? I know the guy he’s been busting his ass since he got to the club. His de-listing had nothing to do with lack of work rate or conditioning.

As BrunoV mentioned in another thread it’s crazy that we’re now giving full time VFL midfield minutes to guys with very limited physical tools in Johnson and Cahill.

Iirc the issues were related to not following coaching directives regarding how they wanted him to play

He came into his first preseason pretty rough but has been in ripping nick for years now from what I’ve heard/seen.

Yeah not the brightest bloke. In his defence he’s been thrown around a fair bit in terms of role.

2020 was a tough year to be a fringe player trying to earn another contract.

He’s probably earning more money locally than he was playing VFL but if he’s doing this in Div 1 in the EFL he’s still comfortably good enough for the VFL.

He was very good for the Dolphins wasn’t he? Not being capable of VFL football is not the reason he isn’t playing at that level.

He is in Div 2 (there's Div 1 and Premier). Did this against my local club against quite a few boys my kids grew up playing with. We were down by 40 odd points at qtr time but nearly got up. (I wasn't there).
