Must congratulate Scooter. He is rarely recognised by the callers for the effort he puts in, and the outcomes he achieves. They laugh him off most of the time, even if he's holding his own or beating some massive forward like buddy and the like. Well done Scott Thompson. You did your bit! Most retirements these days are actually players being sacked, with more spin than a Shane Warne leggie.

But North Melbourne’s Scott Thompson, who plays his last AFL game this weekend, legitimately retired.

Despite still playing excellent football he told the club he was totally cooked, unable to even contemplate saddling up for another pre-season.
