Shame that a promising career was cut down by injury. Always loved him in our side. Enjoy retirement, and a promising media career beckons.

Never forget him hugging Tomahawk at the end of that final. Sort of guy that builds a culture - hope he has a great career in the media - compared to most of the oxygen thief ex players in the media the guy is a natural

Who can forget his goal!!! an underrated player.
I am told his parting words to his teammates were fairly stinging, about players wasting talent and the team falling well short of its potential. Have a look in mirror was the tone of it, supposedly.
My love of Narni just got bigger. Didn't think that was possible.

FFS that's even better than what I hoped for. I hope it really did sting a few too, and that it included stern looks and pointing in faces, and maybe the odd collar grab and shake. What a guy!

Gift him the 14 games ffs.

We all know who will have a gun son now.

Whaddya mean? It's a little known fact that he actually played 15 games under the name "Blake" before changing to "Nathan", a la Brian Lake/Harris.

Completely coincidentally, this means he actually played 101 games for the club, thus qualifying his sons for the father/son rule.

How convenient :knowing look of knowing

Dare I say it... Shinboner.

Gutted when I heard the news, Narni is an all round legend of a bloke and I've always had a lot of time for him. He was never too busy to have a long chat, despite me being an annoying teenager, and he truly is one of the funniest blokes. A media career certainly beckons. Love you Narni.

One of the unluckiest players with all his injuries, but always gave his all. Hope he gets a job in the media cause he's a very funny man.

jsut
Suffered further complications with his back injury.

A sad way to end his career.

All the best Narni.
hope he can have a nice life after footy without hit back issues causing discomfort,
Whilst health comes first. still take me hat of to the bloke that kept pushing through, A couple of other blokes on the list can take not of this.

As someone who had to give it all away at a young age through injury I always feel for blokes like Narni. Extremely important player when fit, will be missed, hoping there is a strong media career ahead.

Good on him. Best of luck for the future Narni.

Very sorry to hear this news. I always felt that we looked a far better side when Narni was in the team. Best wishes to him for the future and his quality of life, and I want to say thank you to him for everything he has done for the North Melbourne Football Club!

They're the best sort of players to fire up everyone else as well. A mate of mine played VFL for Casey and was doing well before he dislocated his knee and tore 3 out of 4 knee ligaments. One of those really horrific injuries, they thought he might not be able to walk normally again let alone play sport.
He now coaches a Div 1 VAFA team and will give absolute support to players who are plodders but train hard, but has no patience for really talented players who don't show any effort and waste their abilities.
Let's give Narni a spot in the coaches' box this week :thumbsu:
