It was a dominating performance tonight - he controlled his opponent and the area - It helps when he and Hooker both play well in the same game.

Defence held up well tonight but I do think we should be more attacking from the back half considering our personnel. Not one defender had a a score involvement against the pies

I agree which is why I think part of that is players up the ground rolling the dice a bit more on the spread. There where a lot of opportunities where if the guys up the ground had confidence in us winning the ball we could have gone harder earlier to get into space. The flip side of this of course is it is good we have been scoring more from stoppages and forward pressure. Just need to find a nice balance.

I was so pleased to see him take his time with disposal. Not just dumping the ball out of the 50m arc asap which has become so predictable.

You could tell he was given some pretty clear feedback during the week about his long bombing. Every time he had the ball he seemed to lower his eyes and look for shorter options or the switch. Seemed to play with a bit more aggression and dare as well which was nice to see. Thought he had a good game without being great but hoping it's the beginning of a return to the old Hurls we fell in love with.

Wasn’t great again, but I think the committee got the match up wrong. Better suited to the leading of Bruce than Hooker. Problem was he can play smaller and Hooker can’t which is why Cale should have been sent forward from the start.
