Knew he'd be reported as soon as it happened. I reckon we'll cop the week.

Yep, this is cookie cutter what they're trying to stamp out. It's a week and in 2023, it's fair.

It’s a contact sport that guys have been playing exactly like that for years. I mean the current ones.

Now he didn’t get hit high and he didn’t get hurt.
Love to see this happen in rd 23 to the Brownlow fav.

I understand what they’re trying to do. Maybe I don’t as holding Logues arms and driving his head into the ground actually presented a greater danger. Oh but spinal injuries aren’t flavour of the month
The comp is farked

I don't like it either but unfortunately they've been told what's expected. I can't be the only person that saw it in real time and uttered "that's a week".

Stamp out running for the ball? I’m confused filthy. What’s the expectation here for logue? What is he supposed to do? Come to a stop and pick up the ball thus getting completely crunched himself?

This is the problem, in an attempt to stamp out this shit it actually runs the risk of making things worse.

I think we all uttered it but that doesn’t mean it should be. I think they’ve got the whole system wrong.

Yeah of course cause it looks worse than it actually is but if you break it down, there is nothing Logue could actually do but brace himself and it was unlucky that Day came into it front on

Breaking things down for the tribunal is GR's job.

Correction: In early 2023, when concussion is the flavour of the month, it's fair. Give it ten weeks, when we haven't heard from Shane Tuck's wife and co. (Not that I'm downplaying their pain) for a while, this sort of thing will get a fine

The fact he touched the ball and continued to follow it bodes well for him.

The bump was a result of trying to get possession- he didn’t look at the man or deviate from the line of the ball. Braced for contact, turned his body to reduce impacts, no head high contact.

I reckon a pretty good case could be made on appeal.
