Great fun, hard work because I also did the smoko's and lunch.
We finished at 6.45pm last night.
This morning I'm a bit sore and stiff.
I learn't so much.
Twas a unique experience.

Live Cure concert was pretty good. Three hours. Played a fair bit of the new album in the first hour, had a 10 minute break, then played a two hour set including songs off Disintegration, Head On the Door, one off Faith, a couple off Japanese Whispers, a few off Seventeen Seconds and finishing off with Boys Don't Cry. Well produced too.

Unfortunately, I don't hold much hope for a positive result in the US.
 
I've taken your advice Pamcake1 and started the tiny bits of poison to build up immunity. Looked at the ABC News app this morning, noticed on a quick skip count that there was at least 8 stories about the US election and immediately flicked the lot.

Ironically, weeks ago I had put in a request at my fabulous local library for a copy of Nick Bryant's new book The Forever War. It came in last Monday and I started to read it wishing that his portents didn't come true. Nevertheless it's a great read, filled with stuff that I did know and lots of stuff that I didn't (did you know that in 1954 a group of Porto Rican nationalists made it into the Ladies Gallery of the House of Representatives and fired semi automatic weapons at the politicians gathered below?) so the transition to where the US is now makes far more sense from a historical perspective. It doesn't make the outcome any more palatable, but I can understand why it happened a lot easier.
