Sam Lees... Needs to get over his shin splints but then his pace, agility will be too hard for most good on ballers to comprehend.. PLays his footy down at Sandringham and is a Xaver

A cut made for Hawthorn supporters from the 2006 Scotch / Haileybury final that can be found on You Tube. The video highlights Brett Collins who was rookie by Hawthorn. That game had four AFL draft players. Nathan Djerrkura, Nick Smith, Scotch Sam Sheldon and Collins from Haileybury.

yeh, look just like to say i'm glad big footy is up and running again. Gotta love this APS forum great place to learn about players from other schools.
Think it should be a great year, I think that you can't really go past Junio Rioli to be the best player in the comp though. He played in that match against essendon in Darwin with Mcleod and stuff.

key games.....round one: scotch vs. melb grammer. a real must win for both sides to set up the season. does grammer have what it takes to go with scotch?

Yeh agreed there mate. The cordner should be a big one. It certainly won't be as much of a walk over as it was last year. Scotch has lost a lot of it's dominant Yr. 12 ranks: Sherwin, Smith, Djekurra etc. A lot of the younger boys have got to step up and fill some really big shoes.
Grammar looking more formidable this time round. Should be a good and even contest

Who are grammer's good players?

Grammer could be a threat this year... however you would have to question the youth of the side.. they will be a very young team as there year 12 are hopeless....
will be interesting to see how they react to pressure of open footy

caulfield coming off a solid end to the season could play well xavier and scotch both very strong with geelong, hailbry, grammar and caulfild all the next best teams, caulfield is the only side with signs of improvement with big blokes including sandilands, penberthy, sundberg, yaman, zeabel, sengstock, all big blokes possiby missing some other big names... won't be easy game for all teams...
important game.. caulfield vs melb grammar(prac match) week before the first round..
then caulfield vs. brighton 'stong chance of melee as a follow up from last year and out of school antics'

He hit the nail on the head.

Scotch v Xavier (Rnd 4) should decide it.

Caulfield are my dark horse

Haileybury the only other school in the race.

MGS and GC will struggle after relying completely on their Yr 12 contingent last year.

your right about caulfield sandilands is an absolute gun I have heard that jack zeable is also top notch played senior footy in the country and was captain or vc of the vic country u15's all the metro boys i talk to rekon he can play .they were mostly 11's last year

For starters Caulfield have no hope in this APS season along with an extremely optimistic St. Kevs who are hopeless at every aps sport infact have they ever won a premiership in anything? . I cant see melbourne grammar being any good with a side made up of yr11's due to an extremely poor group of yr12's and depending on how many purchases hailebury make they could be okay. Xavier on the other hand look like a solid outfit.

Scotch are going to dominate this yr.. Melbourne grammar dont have chance against the like of Strauss, Earle, Parisi, Davis..

we all saw the total destruction scotch can do to grammar last yr in the cordner.. in the past all ive seen is either scotch totally dominate or its a close match.. never do u see melbourne pull through with a side that can do what we do.. DOMINATE

Bring it on whores, scotch got what it takes to take the cup home this yr!

what about the xav boys, we got big wynne fireing this season, he looks really good leading from the half forward line, and if he gets it down to the crummers we have blokes like damo ryan, and sammy lees who will be there to scoop it up, and we also have some other good talls, kennedy and noonan, both who made the under 18 sandy dragons team, thats a fair effort for some year 11's considering only 7 private school kids are picked out of the whole system...

saw ben kennedy a few weeks ago, he looks massive. He's as tall as josh and I've heard he's a better runner. Thought to be unbackable to go to hawthorn

didnt they win the footy in 97? and they won the aths by a country mile last year. Youre an idiot

Skevs

Yes, Skevs definately won in 97. They have an impressive aths program and have won APS titles in Cross Country, Badminton and Rugby in recent years.

There current football list is pretty average, but then they're one of those schools who goes through cycles. Eddy Maguire has his kids down to go there after looking at Scotch and Xavier, so they must be doing something right.
