Could almost be. After the past few years of rebuilding rather than "toppping up" crap of 3-4 years ago it has been the best year recruiting wise for a long time.

Hadley= bloody good..especially for pick 50 something
Armfield= seems a likely type but has not achieed anything yet.same with browne
pfeiffer= potential but hasnt achieved anything

Pretty hard to argue with that list. The on & off field talent in amongst them is just staggering. Hopefully we can start to get some on-field results in 2008.

The board elections took place in Feb 2007, so that means the other new board members (in addition to Pratt) are also 2007 recruits.

Four of the new board members were appointed by Smorgon late in 2006 IIRC they were Mark Harrison, Zac Fried, Stephen Moulton and Ralph Carr.

That would leave Ari Suss, Paul Littman and possibly Marcus Clarke as the new board members elected in 2007.

but onfield i find it hard to surpass the year, i think end of 85 it was, when we recruited bradley kernahan and motley all at the same time, if motley had a full career would have been the best haul in history by a long long way

They picked up some good kids but of course lost Judd and Cousins. It's been GREAT year for the Mighty Blues! Just how good - we'll have a pretty good idea in 3 years.

You'd expect a club to pick the eye teeth out of the draft when they have picks 3, 13, 20 and 22 .

Those kids won't replace Judd, Chick and Cousins.

- Justin Cordy (one of the most wamted fitness guys in the country)
- Noel McCarthy (got the guys on an actual weights program...yay!!)
- Mark Riley (brings some real coaching experience)

The only thing missing from 2007 was results on the field, come 2008 i think we'll see more results swinging our way, the only way is up!!!
