2007 Draftees?

Are Prismall and Millar likely to improve like Shaun Grigg and be picked up early next year? ;)

There are always a couple of players who were overlooked late and go onto be an early pick the next year. Jeremias shouldn't be worried about passing on a Prismall since we have a stack of players like him and Wayne Hughes knows what he's doing.

I like the sound of Rioli since there is no go home factor there and a player as quick as Djerrkurra would add a lot to our midfield and forwardline. Praying for Carlton to draft Hamish Hartlett in 2008 since we definitely need to draft a midfielder who possesses great footskills and can win the ball.
from all reports he is going to be a top 5 pick that draft, so carlton would have to finish in the bottom 5 again, do u realy wish that upon your club?

I don't think anyone can project where he'll go since he isn't eligible till the 2008 draft. We will be moving off the bottom in 2008 if not 2007 given the talent we're adding to the list.
carlton have spent years down there so another wont hurt them
Another three to five years down the bottom won't hurt the Bombers because all your best players and match winners are older than 28.

Sorry mate i never knew Brent Stanton and Jobe Watson were 28
sorry bout that
Just two young midfielders and stars to build around? :)

The competition is quaking in their boots at playing the Bombers without Hird, Lloyd, Michael, Lucas, Camporeale, the Johnsons and Fletcher in three years time.

Will McVeigh and McPhee be your teams leaders?
Yeh i no he was our captain this year

Carlton supporters think there good because they can cook good soup with all there wooden spoons of late
It's because we can beat your rabble without Campo and we have a youth policy.

2006 wasn't an aberration but your future and your not rebuilding but patching over the cracks with Michael, Heffernan and Camporeale.

2 Players dont Build premierships sides Mate.

In fact theres a big, big drop off in your kids from the Top 5ish to the Rest.

This is a succinct explanation of why Essendon is down among the dregs in the AFL, any club that has David Hille as one of its best players is surely short of talent.

Whats wrong with Hille as a player? he is a great ruckman around the ground and can kick goals. If Ryder comes on this year in the tap department they'll be a very dangerous ruck duo.

seeing as you don't actually support a team (or too embarrassed to name it) i'm guessing you know farrk all about football.

CHUMP!

Hamish is to young but he will wet everyones appetite at the carnival next year

looks like its going to be a very talented SA squad this year. all of those roosters boys can play a bit too.

masten was one underage guy who stood out to me the times i saw him this year, and vespremi also looked good.

David Hille is a nice enough player, but by no means should he ever be classed as one of a club's elite players.

The fact that he is so classified by Essendon supporters is an indictment on the quality of their club, not a slur on Hille.

As proof, compare the best three players at each club, or even the best 3 young players at each club.

If you do so, I doubt even you would say that Hille compares favourably (I'll do a list tonight, just to have a look)

BTW, I support all footy

this was the original statement, i never said he is our best player but he is a matchwinner, he is a good player with leadership qualities. next time read things more carefuly

Cotchin is a freak. Played for knights last year as an under 16 and dominated. If not picked up next year as a bottom ager, will surely go top 3 in 08.

easy to come out and just say that... give us reasons why...

personally someone in here mentioned George Cornish... he is overrated... plays from behind way way too much and this has been noticed, also is a very selfish player...

LOL.

George Cornish is a gun.

196cm KPP and turns 18 in May next year.

How often have you seen him play?

I have played with and against him for years.

iv played with him since under 9s... and he does play from behind a lot... but he definately isnt selfish, injury is a huge problem tho... both of his brothers are now restricted to playing amateur league footy due to injuries

Cotchin will be a first round draft pick next year. Would like to see him improve his kicking a little though. Reminds me of Brent stanton.
