joel coombes - 188cm, played bout 10 games for sandy last year. kicked 7 in one game, and 6 in 2 other games, possie -wing/half forward
 
Wat do you guys think about Tom Hornsey from the Geelong Falcons has good size about him. Played most of last year as a key player in. Got best on ground in the Schools Championship at the MCG last year. Thoughts??
 
Personally I think these players will be challenging for number 1 pick.

Tom Swift
Nick Natanui
Pat Vespremi

Chris Mastens disposal is not up to scratch to be a number one pick to much byron schammer about him for me.

i agree that he wont be a number 1 pick, but look for him to get plenty of exposure in the WAFL seniors this season, and look for his disposal to also improve.
 
Cant see Vespremi going that high if at all.
Kruezer and Cotchin both top ten imo.
 
Where would one expect Darcy Daniher to rank if at all ? Top 20 ? In a previous post I noticed he was not rated to make the U18 Vic Metro sqaud for 2007.

Swift, Rich and Naitanui are not eligiblethis year but watch for them in 08
Brad Ebert is one no one mentions who goes ok
 
i think the pioneers may actually get a few drafted these next coming years.
Blair Holmes - tough, strong, qucik, fit, can tackle, kicking lets him down abit though.
Jayden Donaldson - tall, athletic, big motor from what ive seen.
Steven Stroobants - quick, good on both sides of body. exciting
Grant Ford - Level Headed, good kick, hard it, can mark for a person 180cm, quick when it counts needs to work on fitness though.
Anyone care to comment on these boys??

Thats a bit rough...kid has been in the AIS and also done alright in senior grade Goulburn Valley footy.

As for the Bendigo boys you mentioned, for their sake I hope a few of them have had gotten a bit taller over the summer.

Going by a list of players on a Carlton forum, isn't Ben McEvoy another quality young ruckman who'll be drafted early this year? :confused:

thanks blues2010 i agree with all of these.but i would also add ben mcevoy for the murray bushrangers,quality ruckman
 
and as for you RK...how many times have u seen normington play.iv seen him plenty of times and the kid is a gun.if he doesnt get injured this year i think he will go really well
 
I've posted on Masten - great ballwinner and gut runner. A footballer not just an athlete. Size might make him not as desirable and needs work on disposal but already proven at Nationals in 06 and will go but form in 07 will determine where.

Meyers is difficult. Obvious talent but never gets on the paddock. Will be watching him closely this year.

Sampey from East Perth is one I rate very highly - I don't know the interstate talent so cannot pick a ranking yet. He played Nationals in 06 for experience. Has grown and developed. Will play KPP - probably CHF.

Don't forget the name.

Yes sampey is impressive because of his presence he leads hard all game and is very very physical, had a few very good games last year kicking bags of 5 in the colts, if he has grown a couple of cms that is great news because was at that inbetween height 190 area, will be a real chance for 18s chf. Others from east perth would be Aaron Sweet Tayte Pears and Daniel Murray.

U may have seen him play.....but ive played with him and against him. and when i played with him i was the one standing on the podium holding Vic Countrys MVP award and when i played against him i still beat him and took the carnival MVPs off him
