This is a completely different Sturt side from the one that lined up last year .. we can certainly make the 5! Chambo firing as well ... here come the Blueeeeeeeeesss :thumbsu:
Need to go past Chambers though - was gonna suggest the 5 as a possibilty but didnt want to sound too ahead of myself

The Pies had everything go against them today-some self inflicted, some white maggot inflicted. If we'd won, we wouldn't have been celebrating like the nancy blues did.
They just arent used to success after last year... And I dont think celebrating is a bad thing..... Just me though

You don't go berserk celebrating after a minor round win-not if you're anything Port Adelaide anyway.

Ah what the hell, let them have their 5 minutes of fun. Counts for very little by the end of the season.
Actually that win could put them in the finals - but only could

Hey anything but Centrals fans

When they last faced Port I saw the scum walk around with a REAL magpie they killed and shoved on the end of a pointy stick - pure scum

That's my first memory of Centrals - it was in a finals' series way back when and I was only a kid. They had blood dripping down the pole and all. I was less than 1.5 metres tall, about 40kg's, around 12 years old and wanted to take them all. Thankfully my dad stopped me!

hows the bitter pill tasting? ;)

a win at alberton is great, and def worth celebrating :)

too bad you guys have to blame the umps and resort to phys abuse but what else do we expect from the wharfie scum hey???

poor effort

What physical abuse? Stop making shyte up. It was a disappointing loss but far from the end (or beginning) of the world.

If you powder blues can't handle it physical on the field then you should have stayed over the fence at the bowling club. Your bunch of nancies were an overprotected bunch of sooks today anyway.

yep, resorting to blaming the umps...typical...

well, one of our supporters got clocked in the face....dont worry, i wouldnt expect you to believe, with your head up your ass and all....

like i said and we all think......wharfie scum.

Aw diddums. Stick and stones et all.

Anyway, if one of our Port supporters did something like that, I'd abuse them too. There's no need for that rubbish.
same here with sturt fans...violence at footy is taking it too far....friendly banter tho.... ;)

altho, at alberton, its best to have your best running shoes on when the siren goes and your teams in front lol

Yep to all of that, there was also the Len Fitzgerald factor and his grandson played in the reserves for Sturt too which might have also played a part to the 'over the top' celebrations.

far too much bitterness in this thread..........Sturt had everything to play for during the week with the unfortunate off field events and to kick that accurately deserved the win.

They enjoyed the win like most sides do when they are up against the odds......even if it's not at the business end of the season and good sides then get on with the next game after a bit of post match celebrating.

Just like supporters need to have the fun involved with a win and then let the pettiness go............if you want a good target to be angry at aim it squarely at the SANFL who again missed a chance to show some real respect for the passing of a true legend of the game.

They won 3 games last year and a lot of people tipped them for the spoon this year, they also came from 5 goals down at Alberton to beat the wharfie scum.. they had every reason to celebrate like madmen... hell if they didn't I would certainly question their passion. It was a massive win for the Bluebaggers.

Plus they were adding respect for the great man who unfortunately passed away last week :(
