BTW Who made that comment about the Dragons Salary Cap ..
We finished last this year, I hardly think our cap is bursting at the seams ..

Luke Schensher SIGNS with 36ers.

:thumbsu:

gives us:
C - Schenscher / Cooper
PF - Ballinger
SF - Holmes
SG - Import (Hodge please?) / Hill
PG - Davidson / Maher

C - Schenscher / Cooper
PF - Ballinger / Maybe Jordan Dodman
SF - Holmes / Hill
SG - Import (Hodge please?) / Eric Burdon
PG - Davidson / Maher

and 2 rookies.

Brad Hill will play a small forward, Eric Burton and Jordan Dodman should make the side as they are only 2 point players in the points system.

I agree with that comment about the Dragons being unrecognizable, it's nice to have a guy like Smith on the team.

Has anyone heard any news about McKinnon yet??

channel 10 here in adelaide reported that the sixers are confident of having Hodge signed in the next fortnight.

instant championship team if we have him.

BWAHAHA!

Hodge was a stand out on an average team, that didnt make the play-offs.

No doubt the pieces the 6ers have added will help, but championship? Schensher is at best a good player, without being great, he will never be a 20-10 guy in the NBL like an Anstey, but I think he'll be serviceable probably averaging 16-8 and a couple of blocks a game. Definitely have improved out of sight tho, and any team with Maher coming off the bench would be impressive even at his age the guy can stroke it.

Ok I all, I realise that it's still early in the off-season, and everyone's getting excited playing the what if game, but let's take a good hard look at a few things:

1. The Melbourne Tigers are the champions, and until Anstey retires (or Nathan Jawai skips out on the NBA and decides to actually play for a real championship contender) they'll be back in the grand final again next season.

2. The Dragons have made some huge moves so far in the off-season, and will definately be unrecognizable next season, but they're still off-pace from the tigers.

3. Perth had a pretty good team last season, but CJ is not about to get them over the hump (he's good, but he's not Jason Kidd people).

4. Adelaide have a nice team, but that's all they are, is nice. Some good pieces but nobody that really scares another team (sorry but Big Luke and Hodge will but up nice stats, but they're not game breakers on a regular basis).

All that being said, go Dragons (it'd be nice for a real rivarly in Melb again)
