The bummer is that you and NDG and Danielz all had a realistic shot at picking up the double---winning the AE and winning ND and collecting two prizemonies.

The bummer is someone else would be in the hunt if it wasn't for a couple of crappy picks (and two where I can't help but feel robbed).

GB last week and NYG this week killed me as far as CR goes. Those were the crappy picks. KC & BALT were the two I feel robbed.

I aint giving up in AE though . . . maybe Detroit at 16CR?

You were certainly brave and inspired with some picks....like KC. Many NFL results come down to a lucky play or brain-explosion. I'd so easily be out of this comp if for just a couple of hairy games went the other way.

Yeah but there's a difference between a team dominating like KC did and losing a game in overtime. That's what pissed me about that result.

That's why it's very risky tipping shit teams for the CR value upsets. They're boneheads and often cant close games. It's a risk-reward situation EVEN IF they're winning at some stage in the game.

I dont think the Saints can drop that game....unless wunderkind boy genius decides to go for such an all-out aerial assault that somehow the Lions have overloaded their tactics to account for that, just to stop the bleeding, but luckily it plays in their favor with multiple picks, and boy genius perhaps persists with Bush as an everydown back. With Thomas getting 4 carries all game.

Offense has never been our problem gg. You do realise we're the #1 scoring team in the league?

The one thing that concerns me about this game is that big SOB receiver the Lions have. We're down to short-arse corners who can't cover anyone. If the Lions can hold our O to a reasonable score (which given our season is done and our road record, that wouldn't surprise me), our lack of a pass rush means all they need to do is air it out to Calvin and let him find the ball. Even if he doesn't, there's probably enough PI calls in our secondary to keep them moving the chains.

I just have a feeling about this game.

Dont forget the key ingredient to the Calvin Johnson fear---Dan Orlovsky. The Lions have been most competitive and nearly won games only when Dan the Man has been the starter.

But yeah, your DB situation is thin and Smith can run. Probably a shoot out if anything.

Littered with intrigue as GG once again runs with the proven 'upset specials' formula by taking roadies, Baltimore, Cinci & Carolina however Wizard9 is also pushing for ONE upset, siding with the homedog, Hogs and wouldn't mind Detroit opening their account either. GG is high on Bourbon but low on Tampons. GG wants to Party HARD!!

What promises to be rip-snorter contest, MOO has nibbled on TWO divisional roadie upset results while Beefing up on the Niners, Saints, Fins and his belovered Steelers to consolidate his hopes of cashing in next week.
The NakedDeadGuy, however, is lying low, anticipating a whirlwind week of upset results including the Rams but having faith in Dallas, Denver, Houston & Chicago.

But there's a few ones we picked the same where you or me tipped the same team higher---so blowing one or two of those games will also add to the tension.

Wow.. the roughies who needed to scrap it in the final week of the ND season made it to the BIG DANCE. Well done guys. I'll be doing the preview during the week. Better hope neither of you have two left feet like NDG & Wizard. I'm hoping for a Cliffhanger finish.
