3 key factors:

1. Fitness. A fully fit Lloyd is a matchwinner. He hasn't had that level of fitness in the last couple of years.

2. Better quality ball disposal. Contrary to the thoughts of the clueless on here, Essendon's midfield is as good as any in the competition on their day. Lloyd will benefit form the likes on Winderlich, Lovett, Davey and McVeigh delivering the ball to him on a consistent basis.

3. Knights' game plan. Based on what I saw of Bendigo under Knights, the game plan in use is a direct style of footy. Forwards thrive on that sort of play.

I know our's ain't that great but that dosn't compare to the best on its day. although i do think Lloyd will be there abouts, prepare for another close 1 me thinks.

UUMMMMMMmmmmmm ok trivia question who won the 2007 coleman medal playing from CHF???

Edit : i think either Brown, Pav or Lloyd

anyone who thinks jono brown played chf last year is stuck in 06. he said himself that in order to prevent injury he would play ff for the rest of his career and it worked for him last year he enjoyed an injury free season won the coleman and took out his 1st b&f. he played as a true ff for the whole of last year.

Brown plays in what they call these days a "Power Forward", which is something in between a FF and CHF.

Quite a few candidates, and pretty open really.

Fevola, Pavlich, Brown, Franklin, Lloyd... anyone could realistically do well and win it.

I'm tipping J. Brown to get it though, just to hard to shut down, especially if the Lions midfield can be semi-dominant this year, and also Bradshaw and Brennan will need minding so its not like you can easily double team Brown.

Pavlich is more than capable, but runs further upfield on occasions, and its hard anyone with real convinction from Freo.

Lloyd has the ability but doesn't seem to be playing as well as he did when he was the leading full forward of the comp. I'd doubt he'd win it, but wouldn't shock me if he got back to good form.

Fevola has the talent to win it and kick 100 goals in a year, but he could just as easily go off the rails and struggle to get 60. I think he has the best chance of beating Brown though.

Franklin is young so you'd think would have lots or room for improvement. Hawks will play through Mark Williams a lot this year though if he's fit, as Mark is such a good kick for goal you'd look for him every time if he's free on a lead. Franklin is the dark horse though.
