Wings are extremely frustrating at the moment. If we manage to make the playoffs I really hope we get the Sharks hehe.

That LA loss hurt big time too. Dominate the 3rd period, hit the iron twice in as many minutes and predictably enough they score.

I've never watched a more frustrating period of hockey in my life. :(

If Ovechkin keeps up this form the Caps will be hard to beat. 36 points in the last month with just the one pointless game, which incidentally the Caps scored 7.
14 straight now, 3 behind the Pens record of 17 wins in a row.

Points decision there, Halak had no chance on any of the goals (2 stinky deflections). Did look a bit shaky in general.

Rask wasn't really tested. No traffic in front of the net, saw everything.

Frustrating season in Montreal, smash the Stanley Cup champions one night, lose to a team that has lost ten in a row the next night. Jekyll and Hyde.

Stat of the day:

When Halak makes five consecutive starts, his record is 0-4 in the fifth game.

Time for Price to have a run. Give Halak a break before Vancouver, he's going to need it...

That's two really interesting stats you've said about Halak in the last couple of days. I love that 40+ shot stat.

Had a think about that one, haven't looked it up but I reckon it would mostly be games where Montreal gets an early lead and Martin goes super passive.

A bit frustrating. Don't like his system at all but it has made for some frantic finishes with the opposition peppering the goal with plenty of shots and opportunities.

Nothing against Timmy, and he deserved his Vezina, but Rask needs to be a #1. It's just horrible that so does Timmy.

Something's gotta give. Imagine if they had Timmy's contract to spend on Kessel.

Of course there's rumours now about Chiarelli trying to move Thomas, but in all seriousness, that'd be totally unfair.

But what do you do in Boston. They need to add some scoring, and they 'could' do without that 5 odd mil tied up in goaltending.

Surely Thomas, the reigning Vezina winner, can't and won't be traded. Surely.

Salmela knocked out by Jeff Carter after taking a big but clean hit after scoring a shorty. Talk about earning it...
Yeah, I was just watching that. Nice move for the goal but Carter was halfway through his hit when he shot it. And it didn't help that Carter is like a foot taller than Salmela. Hope he is ok.

No doubt if Lehtonen could stay healthy, Dallas have a bonafide number one netminder.

But that's a big "if" I'm afraid. And isn't Vishnevsky like one of Dallas's best prospects, arguably the best? Big sacrifice there if so.

Turco, he's now a backup goalie. Reckon Dallas will retain Auld and go with Lehtonen and Auld next year, which like I said, if Kari stays healthy is great goaltending there.

And speaking of bonafide number ones, I'm watching the game in and out of writing up some yarns, and Rask looks the man. Missed both the goals, but from what I've seen, some of the saves, I'd hate to be Thomas and Chiarelli right now, Rask is top notch.
