How's Hentschel's progress coming along?
Still at least a week away from making his return which will probably be to WWT's reserves in the SANFL. He will need at least 3 weeks in the SANFL system before he could be considered for AFL action. Don't bother putting him in your DT (will be a bargain next year if he's still on our list).

G'day, I'm looking for a 75k defender in DT. Any of Chris Schmidt, James Moss or Brian Donnelly looking like getting a game of two this year?

Thanks.

Schmidt is out for the season with a shoulder, Moss has been out for quite a while with a serious hip injury, and Donnelly is playing okay in the Glenelg reserves as a long term Irish project player. All three are on our rookie list.

The answer is no chance at all.

I know a fair percentage of this question requires guesswork, but are any of you guys any the wiser re. the question asked below? I need to bring in a forward rookie, and would be ecstatic if you guys thought one of these two guys would probably play out the majority of the season.

Thanks.:)

Hey guys, i need to get a rookie forward for my supercoach team this week. Unfortunatly I can't afford to wait a week. Who would be best out of McKernan and Sellar? Who will get more games?
Cheers.

If you want to know before the start of the round, the answer is Sellar.

After the weekend it could be different. Unlikely, but possible.

Based on last week's coaching decisions, it seems that Sellar is Moran's replacement in the ruck, with McKernan replacing Walker in the forward line.

Moran's gone for the season with a knee injury. Walker is running around the SANFL, kicking 6 goals in a half of footy. Assuming the roles remain the same, it's not hard to see who's living on borrowed time.

That's what I thought at the start of this year. He's still on my bench.

There must be someone else you could pick. I doubt Sellar will be in the side very long and i cant see him getting very good scores anyway.

Could Hogan be any good?

With Burton coming back in this week what are the chances of Taylor Walker forcing his way back in?

Also did he get dropped for discipline reasons?

Dropped for poor form.

To make his way back, he'd need to have a great return to form at the same time as one of the other forwards suffers a slip. So far in the SANFL he hasn't really done much - given a bath last week, and while he kicked 6 goals in a half the week before, he also demonstrated one of the reasons for his return to the SANFL by completely disappearing in the second half.

Questions about Hentschel, how many weeks away from potential selection is he and will he get a spot in the side if/when he gets fit?

Cheers

Played his first game back from injury in the WWT Ressies on the weekend and apparently performed really well. Is no certainty to return to the team at all, but if he were, I'd say he'd be at least 3-4 weeks away at the very least.

Unless you still have Hentschel on your list and are waiting for him to come good again, I'd stay away. He played his first match back in the 3s last weekend and played well but the club know very well that this is his last oppurtunity to have an AFL career and will not be likely to rush him back at all. If anything they'll probably go very slowly on him. I wouldn't expect him to be playing for at least three weeks.

Once he's "fit" (which in this case means he's stayed fit at league level for a month or so) he's almost certain to get a place in the side.

Gday guys,

What do we think the chances of Walker surviving to the 22 man squad is? and then if he doesnt is there any late withdrawal chances for him to come back in, i.e niggling injuries?

Named on the extended bench. (as im sure you know:D)

Ive got him and Ballantyne that i will need to use 1 of and to be honest i think Ballantyne is a spud, but im thinking just the fact Ballantyne will play it might be safe to leave him on the ground with Walker as emergency, that way Walker's covering all forwards other than having Walker on the ground and Ballantyne as emergency and then if Walker doesnt play Ballantyne is only really covering Walker.

My preferred player to have on the ground of the 2 is Walker.

There's certainly talk that Stevens might drop out with a calf injury. However, Davis is likely to be his replacement as he offers similar flexibility to Stevens (the ability to play forward or in defence).

It's likely to come down to a choice between Burton & Walker this week. Burton was horribly rusty last week, while Walker's SANFL team had the bye. None of us have any idea which way this one will go.

Nah, NC came out during the week and assured Burton of his spot.
