I disagree.

Im currently ranked 3,000 but im improving from around 10,000th.
Last 2-3 years ive been ranked in the top 1,000 and final rounds have killed me.

Im currently holding virtually no injuries (Grimes and now Murphy) and have reasonable backups. I also have a couple of trades in hand. Last couple of years my backups were marginal I had no trades and as I expect will continue this year the last 3-4rounds alot of players will be dropped, rested or go in for surgery and will see alot of teams sink off.

Anyone in the top 1,000 holding no LTI's with 2+ trades in hand I think your laughing.
Anyone in the top 1,000 without trades or with one I think might hurt by Rnd 22.
Im personally aiming for top 1,000 and any lower I think isnt reasonable but well see how we go fingers crossed. Learnt a couple of new lessons and i'll look to improve again next season.

Worst overall rank was round 1 24,934 and best was round 15 with 76. I have only got worse in my overall ranking twice which i am very happy with.

Current: 3468 As a 1st time DT'er pretty happy with season so far, rating has improved every week (from 60K+) except a glitch in R12. I will keep rising, and hope for top 1000. 1901 low, 2309 high, and the biggest surprise, still alive in Eliminator Final 32.

sitting about the 5k mark and have been for a few weeks now. Was as high as 89th but Not loading up the midfield this year has really hurt me, and also lead stuffing up a few captain choices in weeks where ablett and swan had massive games leading to massive slides in points.
However still have 5 trades left and a pretty complete side with higgins the only worry, but 2 playing emergencies in balla and brown and no cox to worry about so could be alot worse

Be Really Happy with a top 500 Rank
Be dissappointed falling out of the top 1000 however i used my final trade this week so i guess anything can happen

Had a terrible start, so I'm actually pretty pleased with where I am at the moment. Can hopefully push for a top 1,500 rank by round 22.

On track to beat my ranking of exactly 100 from last year. If only points carried over from previous years, I might be Number 1 in consistency :)

Ranked 641 overall peaked at 257 in round 12, have fluctuated between 200 and 700 since round 8. Should hopefully push up a bit in the final rounds with a few trades remaining and no injuries.
 
ranked 36th if not for a glitch id be ranked about 21st so pretty happy! altho no trades left so last few weeks will be interesting...

Scored 2269 this week to take my overall to 709. Pretty happy with that.

Similar position as you and improving week on week.
I skipped out to around 10k at about the same time.

However I have only 2 trades left, LTI's have hit me hard.
Will probably use one next week or semi's (depending if I win and get through to semis on my work league) and one for the old grand final.
 
I've also only got two trades left (after bringing in Swan). I've got good cover up forward, rucks are the same as everybody, and midfield is Sidebottom and Muston.

The backline is a bit of a worry. Geary and Petrenko... I'm hoping a good backline rookie pops up soon. Unfortunately I traded Wilson into the forward-line without realising he was eligible for both.

I'm just going to have to take a punt I think. I've been fairly lucky with injuries in the last 4 weeks and kept the trades anyway. Time to just put the best possible side out there :thumbsu:
