Depends on if the AA committee actually pick a team based on their position the players play on the field, however liek most years we are likely to see onballers names across the forward line, backman named in the middle and forwards names in defense.

I think the AA needs to be just names AA Best 22 of the year, rather than actually put player sinto position.

Player who i think could be in the initital squad based on performances thus far;
Judd, Simpson, Russell, Carrots, Scotland and Jamo

For me those 5 have been the most consistant and solid performers who would make the squad for AA.

Players if they can sustain their performance for the rest of the year could be looked at are Hoops and Walker.

For me Murphy and Gibbs has just been a little inconsistant.

The AA team is only 22 and if you look across the comp there would be some players already in the team.

Ablett, Judd, Sandilands, Pav, Goddard

The AA committee seem to like to pick the same players year after year even if they aren't the best, its like the have AA googles on.

I think Kreuzer has a shot at AA as the second ruckman on the bench rivalled of course by Ryder fro Ess.

Judds obvious but other than that I think Gibbs is probably the only other chance to get in.

Gibbs?

Can't see it happening as I don't think he's been in our top 5 players this season.

I'd have it:
Judd
Simpson
Scotland

Russell/Murphy
Gibbs

Judd a definite and Simpson borderline for the 22 at this stage.

There are too many other players in other teams who sadly would be recognized before the highlighted guys above. Gibbs on the other hand at HB is doing a better job than Shaw etc (except maybe Hodge)

I don't think he has. Hodge, Enright and Taylor if he's selected on a HBF would be clearly ahead. Gilbert as well. I'd have Russell before him on a HBF at the moment, who's been more consistent than Gibbs this season.

Simpson has stiff competition but I'd say only Montagna has been clearly better on a wing this season (unless they decide to name Goddard on a wing).

my AA team if i had to be unbiased:

FB: Fletcher, Lake, Russell
HB: Hodge, Taylor, Goddard
C: Hayes, Barlow, Bartel
HF: Didak, Pavlich, Chapman
FF: Milne, Fevola, Kennedy
Foll: Sandilands, Judd, Ablett

I/C: Montagna, Swan, Simpson (could get a spot in retrospect), ??? can't choose (thoughts?)

the triple m mid season team is

Problem with the AA team is that you are limited by the time they pick half of the geelong team.

Judd and Russell right now should be in that team though. They have been the most consistent. Baed on minutes played, Walker may get in there as well...but he misses too much football.
