Will Jobe Watson have a better year than 2010? I'd say it'll be similar, if it is anything like either of the last 2 years, nobody should complain - he has been brilliant.

Will Brent Stanton find his best form after a poor 2010? He was ultra consistent until 2010. Hopefully Hirdy can teach him how to break tags. I'm tipping he will be back to his best.

Will Angus Monfries bring consistency into his game? I'm going to say no, unfortunately. Hopefully though.

Is Leroy Jetta on his last chance? Where should he play? Yes, definitely. Had some very nice patches throughout the year, but if he cant put it together this year, I think he will go. He should rotate between the middle and half-forward. He has a great sidestep and reads the ball well, with added muscle I hope he could really become an asset in the centre this year.

Will Brent Prismall progress to a consistent midfielder and help out Watson in the midfield? No idea. I'm more hopefully of others than him but wait and see.

Is this Mark McVeigh's Last Year? I doubt it, and I hope not. Still has plently to offer in the backline. Welsh on the other hand.....

Expectations of David Zaharakis? Has had set-backs this preseason, but I am very excited about him. Has put on some big muscle and hopefully will be our most improved young mid this year. Needs to continue to work on his disposal, but has potential to add some real polish in the midfiled. "Zaha to Hurley" - I wanna hear more of this.

Will Anthony Long play in 2011? Not much, if at all. Has stiff competition back there now. I wonder with the recruitment of guys like Hibberd and Browne, along with T Slattery, Davis and Heppell - does Hird rate Long? We will have to wait and see. Add these guys to McVeigh, H.Slattery, Demspey, Myers, Hocking and others and suddenly theres options aplenty for smaller defenders.

What does Courtneay Dempsey need to do to keep his spot in 2012?
Stop being a soft co**. Get fit, and show some heart. Has so much talent. Like most, I wanna see this talent unleashed away from the backline. Like many others, I'd be happy to see him spend time at Bendigo if his committment isnt there, has received games too easily in the past.

Interrupted pre season for Tayte Pears, expectations of him? If he can get on the park and reach full fitness by round 5ish, there is no reason this guy can't continue to build into a great player, and pushing for AA selection to me seems easily plausible if stays fit.

Will David Hille become the best ruckmen in the competition? No, no way. Aaron Sandilands - he is the best.

How many games will Dyson Heppell play? Hopefully arond 15-17. I'd say he will play at least 10. Havent been this excited about a draftee straight after the draft since Gumby.

Is David Myers on his last chance? Yes I think. A bad season sees him back to Perth for not much in exchange. Don't know what to expect TBH, but I'm probably hopeful, but not confident.

Out of the new recruits (Heppell aside) who will play the most games? Hibberd. Have a very good feeling about him. I'm going to predict him to also play more than 10 games. Reports on Browne sound positive also.

Best position for Paddy Ryder? TBH, no idea. Not back.

Will Fletch play in season 2012? I hope so.

For Mark Williams to have a good season, how many goals does he have to kick? Obviously it shouldn't be based solely on his goals, but a return of 35+ goals would be ideal.

What does Kyle Reimers need to improve? Not being a w***er and trying to fight everyone. Playing 4 quarters. Start him in the 2s.

Can Heath Hocking back up his brilliant 2010? I think he can improve on 2010. I think he was good, don't know about 'brilliant'.

Knights didn't allow the team any time to settle, and therefore didn't give players a chance to get some consistency - Hopefully Hird gets the forward line right, and gives Gus the chance to turn into a LeCras type (undersized forward with great hands who is strong on the lead and when the ball hits the deck)

Is Leroy Jetta on his last chance? Where should he play? No not last chance - improving but needs a consistent run in the 1s in the right position. His best is brilliant - may be best utilised as an impact player.

Will Brent Prismall progress to a consistent midfielder and help out Watson in the midfield? If he can either learn to kick, or avoid kicking (like wato)

Is this Mark McVeigh's Last Year? Yes. Should have finished after 2010.

Expectations of David Zaharakis? Keep progressing as a small forward - Big pre-season will allow him to develop into a midfield option.

Will Anthony Long play in 2011? Might sneak a game if we have some injuries - but not in the best 25 where the list stands.

What does Courtneay Dempsey need to do to keep his spot in 2012? Be more accountable as a defender - Great with ball in hand setting up play from halfback, but needs to understand and give more thought to his defensive duties.

Interrupted pre season for Tayte Pears, expectations of him? Watch and listen to everything D. Fletcher says and does. Should play every game when fit and with Hooker, should share the key defensive responsibilities, playing on the opposition #1 forward each week. Needs to keep his head up, and fans need to keep supporting him even when an opponent beats him on the day, which will happen during the season if he consistently plays on the key forwards. Pears and Hooker allow fletch to take the 3rd tall - which allows him to set up play and direct traffic from the back.

Will David Hille become the best ruckmen in the competition? No, Sandi is too dominant. But he will be competing for 2nd best with the Jolly/Jamar types and should push for an AA bench position. Needs to continue pushing forward and kicking goals.

How many games will Dyson Heppell play? 16. first games in round 2,3 and 4 - then back to the 2's for a couple of weeks, then play all the rest for the season.

Is David Myers on his last chance? No - His build and potential mean EFC will persist for a couple more years. Maybe 2nd last chance.

Out of the new recruits (Heppell aside) who will play the most games? Hibberd will get a chance early and hopefully can hold hit spot.

Best position for Paddy Ryder? Forward pocket as the 3rd tall forward. Although i did really like him as a CHB a couple of years ago as he has the aerobic ability to go with a quick tall.

Will Fletch play in season 2012? I hope so. Depends on the development of the bombers backline - he wont stay on if he is not in the best 6 backmen as he wont want to take the spot of a kid. If Myers has a breakout year, look for Fletch to finish up in 2011.

For Mark Williams to have a good season, how many goals does he have to kick? All of them. But for cerial, depends on the role Hird plays him in. If Willo plays on the FF line, he should be aiming for 2 per game at a minimum (44 if he plays every game) - any less than that and he should be dropped and moved on.

What does Kyle Reimers need to improve? Fluorescent EFC jumper, socks and shorts to match his boots. He also needs some other midfielders to stand up. If everyone in the midfield improves, the pressure on each individual is reduced. If Wato can improve on 2010, Melksh and Coylier can become permanent consistent midfielders, Howlett can continue on the improve, Pris can learn to kick, Stants can get some consistency etc - then EFC will be well on the way to developing a very solid midfield. I know that is a lot of 'what ifs', but if some of those occur, then if will make it easier for other players to improve, as the oppositions has to focus on the improved players. Its like Geelong - when a team focuses on shutting down Ablett and Bartel then Selwood and Chappy have more freedom etc. Improvement will encourage and allow for more improvement.

Can Heath Hocking back up his brilliant 2010? Yes. The silent assassin - Other teams and supporters underrate him massively but true EFC fans know how important he is.

Yes.. He had a very good season, would hope that he can do what he does best and that is extract the ball from the packs. Will hope that others can support him and allow Jobe to have a super year in 2011.

Yes, he will be given a role that suits him best and allow him to return to a damaging running player that saw him mentioned at one stage in the upper half of midfielders in the comp.

Will Angus Monfries bring consistency into his game?

Not sure 'Gus' has the tools to be a damaging forward cum midfielder and be as consistent and damaging as some of the best in the comp. Would hope that he can add that extra string to his bow to be able to run on the ball for short stints, but feel he may not do as well as some people hope.

Is Leroy Jetta on his last chance? Where should he play?

Leroy, Leroy, Leroy... Hm.. What to do with him? Showed some really promising signs last season playing an increased midfield role. Would hope that he can increase this output playing on ball with some stints up forward, similar to Monfries perhaps?

Will Brent Prismall progress to a consistent midfielder and help out Watson in the midfield?

Really think he can provide a very good option running through the midfield. Where he plays most of his footy will be the burning question. Will hope that he can play most games nest year, averaging high teens, low 20's possession wise whilst hoping he could kick some more goals.

High expectations of Zaka for next year, one of my favorite players. Can see him playing more midfield time, probably a wing. Would love to see him play more midfield time, so heres hoping it happens.

Really not sure what to make of Anthony. Would like to see him have more of an impact in VFL games next year before he is even being spoken about as a senior player. I do not think he will play next year, hope he can prove me wrong, but still a long way to go for this raw, skinny young kid to make it onto the big stage.

No!

Not sure he is still in his prime. Would hope he can still be a prime mover for the Bombers, but will probably not be a premier ruckmen in the Jolly, Cox, Sandilands class, escpecially with the next breed of ruckmen coming through.

Absolutely

Yes he has shown glimpses, but needs to show a lot more for someone who has all this 'potential' but has hardly shown it. Far to many players on our list have 'potential' but are not showing it (albeit youth can only be be used as an excuse for so long, Myers will be 22 next year, Jetta 22 etc).

Michael Hibberd will play more games than many may think.
Out of the kids, I am really, really liking the sounds of young Ross. Think he could surprise a few.

Will hope he can be our number one ruckmen on a more full time basis whilst having some short stints up forward.

Will Fletch play in season 2012?

No, would love to see him play till he is 40, but think that he may call it quits if injury strikes.

I think the coaching panel is going to try and implore a spread of goalkickers, ala the Geelong game style.

With this in mind, I would hope that Williams can kick somewhere between 35 - 50 goals.

Everything!!

OK, so he has talent, but needs to nurture it and find a work ethic to match his talent. Would like to keep his arrogant nature but only let this out when he should, not at every opportunity.

Hopefully. I seriously do not think he can, but will still be a very handy midfielder. Far to many other players are being spoken about as midfield rotations, so 'Buddha' may fall back to the pack.

Would love to see another long buring down the mcg wing.

Somehow gain some confidence and become a damaging winger as the writing is on the wall with the amount of defenders Hirdy has brought into the club with good skills.
