In truth it started the day Geelong smashed us, but there is a lot to look forward to.

Trade week will be something to watch as well - it's been a while since we made some serious moves and I'm curious to see if Neeld and the FD feel that big changes are needed this off season.

One thing that stood out for me, watching the GF (how sweet it was to watch the Pies crumble) was the amazing clearance and contested work of the Cats. We've got to reach that level asap, but it might take a while. It's an area I hope the new coaching team focuses on.

The Pies midfield crumbled and their backline crumbled coz Master Neeld wasnt there to coach them...although saw he was in the pies room after the game hugging Malthouse. Thought it was touching

We absolutely have to recruit a coach from Geelong, preferably a forward coach.

Wouldn't this be betterer in one of the assistants threads?

Anyway, that would be Caracella. I suggest after losing Sanderson, Geelong would be very keen to keep all their coaches on, especially Caracella who now would be their most experienced assistant. Caracella has been an assistant for 5 years at 2 clubs, next change of club is probably for a senior job.

How's the side looking? Maric going is very disappointing :/

B: Bennell Frawley Rivers
HB: Jones Garland Bartram
C: Grimes Moloney Trengove
HF: Green Watts Sylvia
F: Davey Martin Howe
R: Jamar Gysberts McKenzie

I/C: Bail Morton Jurrah Petterd

Emer: Tapscott Blease McDonald Gawn Dunn Bate Strauss

All up to how Tapscott, Blease, Morton, Cook and a few others come along over the summer and the recoveries of Strauss, Grimes, etc.

While everyone is getting all lovey dovey and happy about 2012, my MSDS is setting in, in a big way.

Becausee despite hpw shit we were this season, we still have one of the most talented lists in the AFL.

And we now have a coaching staff that shoud be able to take them to the next level.
