Raonic is a bit like Janowicz, Anderson, Querrey, etc on the tour.

They have no problems on serve, get them to return though against the top guys - and they struggle to get a look in.

Williams should play some of the men, just as a gimmick. Would like to see if she could take a set off Tomic for example.

No chance.

Sharapova was playing practice sets against a few of the junior boys in Brisbane.

She won a tight set against one of the 16 year olds, then gave up when Luke Saville (ranked 350) was beating her.

Jesus christ Bruce shits me, does nothing but rattle off stats

Heres a stat you will be interested in.... 99 posters have complained about Bruce so far in this years tournament. You think we can crack 100, it's probably going to happen within the next 30 minutes, don't you think ? :D

It does disappoint me that it's so hard to hit through the court these days at the AO. Stan was having to work some insane angles to prevent Djokovic getting a racquet on the ball, and Djokovic wasn't even playing that great.

It would be nice to see a slightly quicker surface that rewarded aggressive shotmaking a little more. Having the ball sit up a little more to prolong rallies is well and good, but it's a bit sad that you can have someone like Wawrinka being the aggressor all night and not really getting rewarded for it in the winner column.

You look back at the days of Rebound Ace and it looks like they are playing on grass compared to how it is now. And back then Hewitt was already complaining about the courts being too slow. :D

Couldn't agree more and that applies x10 to Nadull.

The likely Lance Armstrong of the ATP tour has turned the beautiful elegant silky game of tennis into a dour defensive top spin endurance snorefest.

Milos can get angles though. He has great variation - pulls off the odd 170km/h wide first serve and the odd 210km/h second serve. Having said that if Federer returns Milos' serve he's the favourite for the point. Until Milos develops his movement he won't be moving from where he is now.
You should change your username to something Raonic related.

The Kia ad where the chick walks us through everything she 'is' - 'I don't internalise, I mobilise' or whatever the **** she says - has got to be one of the worst ads in years. Keep wishing she'd just end it with 'I'm also a stuck up, self absorbed bitch'.
There's one with a guy as well. terrible ads.

Raonic played a pretty poor match. Thought his ground game was a lot better than he showed tonight but he could barely win a point on return or in the longer rally's. Federer's draw looked reasonably tough on paper but he hasn't really been troubled at all. Don't think he's even had his serve broken yet in the tournament. Tsonga should be a tough match in the quarters.
