We play Poland this weekend. Starts at midnight Friday night on 7Two. Janowicz is apparently in doubt for the tie. This would be huge if he doesn't play.

Semis are:
Serbia vs Canada
Czech Rep. Vs Argentina

For some reason the semis aren't being shown on fox, usually they show one

Tomic had a crap clay season. Hewitt thinks he's 22 again and Matosevic is still a mug (ok he had some solid results during the American swing). I'll take that

Surprised to see Djokovic named for the DC team. He'll only have about one or two days of rest before playing a massive best of 5 against Raonic. Hmm.

When I first heard about this, I laughed my head off, wondering if Pat had finally lost his marbles. But the more I think about it, the more I understand it. Nick has showed solid mental strength in his few matches he has played while Marinko has shown aboslutely none and there will be a time when Nick is the better player. Risky move though if he is forced to play Nick in a live 5th rubber.
 
Withdrawals have really messed with this round of ties.

In the semi Del Potro not playing ruins what would have been a good match up against the Czechs.

Cillic suspended really depletes the Croats against the Brits.

No Janowicz leaves the door wide open for us. Pretty crucial first match still. Kubot on clay is a decent player, has made a couple of decent runs at the French. If Lleyton can beat him, hard to see them coming back from there.
 
Just a heads up, 7two's coverage is live for first two days and then delayed on the final day. Starts at midnight tonight with thankfully Hewitt up first so if Tomic decides to tank I can go to sleep a little earlier
 
Great start by Hewitt, breaks in the first game of the match. Holding his serve on clay consistently will be a challenge.

I don't understand why they would delay the third day. If the tie is live I hope they review that. It's on at a graveyard timeslot and they have 3 channels for crying out loud.

Plays starts at 8pm for some odd reason

Good god this clay is slow, why would Poland choose this surface is beyond me

I have to admit I cracked when I heard that Bernie rocked up in thongs to the draw, pretty much describes the situation there
 
Djokovic comfortably disposes of Pospisil 6-2 6-0 6-4. Raonic vs. Tipsarevic should be a cracker!
