Didn't know where to put this, so I thought I'd start this thread, as, alas, there will no doubt be lots of bad news to come this year.

Bloody hell 2 players i was storngly looking at do injuries. Zakas not major hopefully the same case for Mundy aswell

Pfff Fyfe was never gonna be unique. Everyone loves him, wouldve been one of the most popular picks.

Surprisingly he isn't according to the numerous teams I've seen posted across all the various DT websites. If anything Mundy has been more popular until now.

injuries are somewhat double edged for me... late starts = vests and price drop offs...and opportunity for outsiders to push into the starting lineups = rookies rnd1

Don't let it scare you off Mundy, he's fine. Only a roll and no damage. Will be fine in a few days, at worst 2 weeks.

Fair enough, I hope so. Didn't want to get too alarmist, I guess it just sounded bad on first repot. Then again, twitter is the home of the over-reaction, and I should've considered that.

Buckley says Thomas still a few months away?

few months? Dale Thomas is 6-7 weeks away. Will attempt to start full training in 2-3 weeks.

Zaharakis SHOULD only be out another 2 weeks. Thus being fine to play Round 2 of the pre-season cup.

Mundy is a-ok and should play 1st round of pre-season cup.

Pretty sure that's the lowdown on the injuries.

Must be said Beams also didnt have a preseason last year and he took a while to get going but then went BANG!

With Beams & Sidey establishing themselves in Collingwood's midfield rotations last year, plus the return of Luke Ball & Clint Young coming into the team, will Thomas get as much midfield time as he has in previous years? (srs question)

I continue to see Dale Thomas under rated these days. From the days where he was always over rated some even said best in the comp not long ago and now hes just so under rated. He won so many games off his own boot last year and it went unrecognized outside of Collingwood and Keystone. Including the semfinal have a look at his stats individually for games for a player who apparently had such a "shit year" they were very good and he was a massive match winner.

You make a good point but these days every clubs has masses that run through the middle and even a HFF which he could be would be a high half forward. The only reason he plays more forward is because of his ability to kick goals over guys like Pendles, Young, Ball ect not because hes a worse midfield footballer, hes better than the last 2 by some stretch.

Also a slow preseason will mean a start more on HFF then push to the middle. I guess its a question you will have to ask Buckley. I cant see why you would not have one of the most premier natural wingmen not playing in the midfield when fit.

I hope it takes to mid season for him to get fit with a couple of vests thrown in, upgrade central.

No. More time in the forward line than in the midfield when he returns. Don't jump on him till after their bye round.
