How much money do you have left?
Hey mate, not a bad team. You've spent a lot of cash in your forwards though, so I'd be looking to cut that down a bit. A forward-heavy strategy isn't a bad move this year, but I think it may be a little too heavy in my opinion as you've sacrificed true midfield premos for it. The easiest way I can see to save some cash is to either trade Franklin out for a rookie and start Macaffer, OR you could move Cox to the R1 position and downgrade Jenkins to a fwd rookie. That cash could then be used to upgrade Bennell or Sloane to a true premo.Pretty stock standard for the most part but for what it's worth here's mine so far.

Too many rookies in the mids and would like to upgrade either Bennell or Sloane to a true premium like Swan/Siddebottom or even J Selwood but I cant see where else to save the $ apart from ditching JJ and hoping everyone's favourite combo of Currie Berger works out.
apart from the no Swan it seems pretty solid to me, your forward six are a really strong though
$48,500

Goodes will never wear the vest in any game for the Bulldogs this year. Killing our endurance training, provides a big body and experience out of the back half, something we desperately need. There's also no reasonable replacement for his position, that's why he was drafted.God i've noticed a lot of people are going very very slim in their back 6 with 3 premos and 3 rookies. Do you honestly think this will work? Standard 3 i have seen involve Pittard, Goodes, Vlastuin and stevenson. You are going to be losing so many points here. Pittard is not DT friendly and will score super low, Vlastuin will be a high chance of being vested (if he even gets a game round 1, which is highly doubtful), goodes will also get vested quite often. Stevenson will average 50 at this absolute best.
4 premo's 2 rooks in the back is the far better option, or even the 3 premo 2 mid range, 1 rook. Not really sure the logic some people are going with here. If someone could explain i would be all ears.
Hmm. Perhaps you could trade out Franklin, and move Rockliff to the fwds. Then, move Cox to the ruck and trade Jenkins for a cheap fwd option and start Macaffer. Then you can keep Sloane in, and throw another premium in the midfield without sacrificing too much. Might even be worth downgrading LeCras to, say, Karnezis for some extra cash and upgrading Birchall or Johnson to Gibbs in defense. Thanks for the replies, I've been trying to keep Sloane in but I'm also thinking now of switching Sloane and Bennell for Wright and Gibbs. Not as exciting maybe but with so many rookies Gibb's might be the safer option plus it'd give me a link to the 3 DPP in defense.
Stay away from Heppell. Too soft and relies on other to give him possessions.Had a bit of a play with my side.. some good suggestions in this thread. Like the fact we can _try_ and help each other out here
Torn between keeping Franklin or putting in say Pavlich for ~35k less and then using that to upgrade someone else. I don't think I'd gain much from that though.
Varcoe is a good price.
Great effort mate. Biggest problem in my opinion is that you're lacking a few premiums in your forward line, and lacking promising rookies in your midfield. Magner is still a rookie I believe, so is probably a bad pick at his price. I'd downgrade him to, say, Crouch or Horlin-Smith. That'll give you some cash to upgrade LeCras to a proper premium. Other than that, it's a pretty solid team in my opinion.

You've got to be kidding. At worst he'll keep averaging around 85, but he will most likely average 90+ this year.Stay away from Heppell. Too soft and relies on other to give him possessions.

I'll be laughing at the end of the season when he's not in the top 10 scoring defenders, and you've all wasted your cash.
Fair enough, we'll see who has the higher ranking at the end of the season shall we.Coming from the man who isn't picking Gibbs.
