Horrible, i mean we have 6 trades extra this season. I'm factoring them in to my side. You'll need more than those 6 extra trades to improve this side I would've thought.

Sam Fisher, without a genuine FB he will get lock down roles like he did last year. Rossy no more.
Burgoyne, no money to be made & not a top 8 player.
Swallow, Judd, DS, Fyfe & Hodge. There's 5 players with not enough premium about them. Is Hodge even slated for round one?
A Goodes may/looks like playing more fwd towards the end of his career. Pass.
I'd only risk one of Kennedy & Cloke.

Ok Lamb's only a rookie but he could be slaughtered. Not much upside to him, especially in a Sydney side that is conservative with new guys. (Yes, he's been there 2 yrs)

Sorry, but none of that makes any common sense to me at all.

I've only left myself with $8600 and am a little worried about missing out on a couple of the higher priced rookies who might be better cash cows (Vlastuin, Mayes, Macaffer)

Out of any team I have seen, this early out, this would have to be the best team yet. A good mix of premiums an rookies with a couple of mid prices in there also..

I may suggest that LeCras may be a little over priced for what he has ever produced..

Apart from that bud, top quality team mate, just keep an eye out on the better rookies and tweak it prior to round 1 and you should be in for a good year

Thoughts on my team? I doubt I will end up keeping both Gibbs and Scotland in the backline, not sure which one to bail on though. I still have my doubts over Gibbs tbh.

Tried to squeeze Marc Murphy in, but Cotchin, Kennedy and Dangerfield seemed like smarter bets for the time being.

Few gambles with 6 prems in midfield and rolling the dice on Nate Jones at 520k but looking seriously good in pre-season. Big year expected.

Banking on Bock, LeCras and Varcoe to bounce back strongly. Avoiding Goddard and Watson at this stage. Suckling a cheaper option to Birchall for very similar output.

Might change again but happyish.

Jones could be an inspired pick (not sure he'll be top 12 in average by the end of the season tho) - Bock & LeCras are massive No's for me. Byrnes will laregely depend on his role - guess nab form will tell this

good looking team, only advice would be to get a fwd in the mids and in the rucks as well to get more DPP options
maybe roughie instead of mcevoy or rowe instead of one of rookies,
push zorko or stevie j to mid and get a new fwd rookie

Scotland is suspended for the first couple of games don't forget. Birchell might be the better pick there

If you think you have too many Lions in your side you might like to change Mayes for Stringer from the Bulldogs

Congratulations, the first team I've seen without Leunberger. When he inevitably doesn't front up Round 1 you will be one of the few not scampering before lockout to change your team.

id lose monfires goldstein and whitfield and add luenberger ablett and fwd rookie like Lee not sure how much cash you have left to make that work, also maybe have a few less pies players

What's wrong with Goldstein? Well underpriced for what he can produce when given the number one ruck mantle which is now his. Monfries is also a candidate for a big increase in scoring production, should play more through the midfield in his new side than throughout previous years. Could quite comfortably add 20 ppg to his average.
