Teams 2013 Rate my SuperCoach Team

I tend to think players like Varcoe (in other teams, players like Yarran, Byrnes, Moloney, Dawes, Q-Stick, Caddy etc are in a similar situation) are 'wait and see' players... We have 30 trades so we can afford to have maybe one of these players on each line and just shift across if you've picked the wrong one. .

To me this is where SC is going to won and lost this year. If you get the right mid priced players you are going to have a leg up on the rest of the comp as most players will go for the usual Primo/Rookie mix and negate each other.

I like it but my only issue is most people will have sides that look very similar to it making it hard to pick up a win

Like this team a lot. Though I see roughy as better value in the fwds than rucks. Grimes is on my never again list. Seems too injury prone.

Way to midpriced in the midfield, downgrade one of Ball/Moloney to a rookie maybe Goodes. Then get rid of Whitfield, too expensive for a rookie and downgrade him to Oliver Wines or Kane Mitchell both should get a lot of game time and score just as well while making more money.

Use that money to upgrade the Ball/Moloney you didn't downgrade to an out and out premium an Ablett/Pendles/Kennedy/Dangerfield. I would downgrade Ellis to a rookie unless you know something I don't as I can't see him being a keeper and he won't make you enough money to be worthwhile cash cow.

You've only got 9 guys I think will actually average 100+. You

McBean to R4 - drop Grundy, staker wont play rd 1or 2, Stevie J out for rd 1 (are you going to simply park him for rd 1 and use him for the capt loophole??)

A real rookie/premiums team apart from Varcoe
T Lee - there might be better options available than him once Nab is completed

Done even more fiddling around. I feel like I'm getting closer and closer on becoming content or happy with the team but now only have $13,000 cash left over which probably isn't smart. Would rather 25,000-50,000 leftover. Ideas???

As the great Toxic said, take out stakes, grundy and Varcoe & chuck McBean to R4 and it looks good.

Only problem with that is I can't really get rid of Varcoe, either I downgrade him, but the FWD rookies are slim pickings and none I'm sold on 100% or I downgrade him to a Byrnes or Menzel who really are just worse options. Menzel might have more upside but he is a huge injury risk with 3 ACL's already.

Nice list, Kerridge/Mayes/Neade (fwd/mids rookies) could be a few to look at to replace Staker. Also keep an eye on Lee over the cup, did not impress me round 1.
